I started learning Martial Arts back in 1997 with Robert Hawk, one of the instructors at the Allen Academy, and joined the School in 1998 when I was 5 and am still an active member. I learned more than just kicks and punches here. I learned self-control, integrity, and all around how to be a good person. They have encouraged me to do my best in the classroom, at work, and in life. Thanks to the Allen Academy I have learned loyalty, respect, service to others, and to do my very best in everything I do. This is a great place to learn to defend yourself on the street and everything we do can be applied in a real life situation. If you are on the fringe of joining, all you need to do is stop by for one class and you will be hooked.

The "Sensei" allen is a douche...jack of all martial arts master of none type. Guy is a weenie i was a student long enough to see through his BS program. "Sensei" Allen is very condescending even with the most basic questions even comes off …

I found the Allen Academy over 7 years ago, and it changed my life. At the time the school was being lead by Professor Brian Allen. Under his teaching I learned not only about the martial arts but how to help those around me. The Allen Academy taught me how to punch and kick, but more importantly it taught me to think. I began to think about my life, about those around me, and the path I wanted to walk. The Academy is now lead by Headmaster Hendrix Yuri and it feels just as strong as ever. The kids program has evolved into a place where students who walk through the door feeling awkward, leave with new friends an having enjoyed the martial arts experience. The adult program has some of the best instructors available to the martial arts and the student body has become one of the most physically fit i have seen in sometime. If you are interested improving your quality of life or just want to meet some interesting people come down and check us out.

I have been here for about five months. I have tried other styles and was not fulfilled. The Allen Academy is a breath of fresh air. They don't have your typical hide behind your belt instructors. They actually work out with the classes. This is a big deal to me, since all of them practice what they preach. Seeing some of the senior students is a bit discouraging at times, because they are really good. However, they even take time and volunteer their bodies to help me with techniques. My hats off to all the instructors. They have earned my trust, and have given me the motivation to sign up my daughter. They are so caring and professional with the little ones.

I've been going to the Allen Academy since 2011 and did not know that when I joined the school that I would be joining a family. The instructors are great and they understand the different ways people learn which helps students understand the material. The school emphasizes personal growth and the teachings can be applied to everyday life. The instructors are always available to discuss any issues you may have with the material and are always available to answer questions. If you're thinking about checking out the school call and schedule an information appointment- you won't regret it.

There aren't too many black belt instructors like the ones at the Allen Academy. I was very impressed at my information appointment. They were genuinely friendly and knew what they were talking about. I asked about the lineage of their system and unique style and they satisfied my questions. The workouts were appropriate for the fitness level of the class. I'm sure it gets challenging as the students progress though. The instructors used a variety of great calisthenics and stretching. The Allen Academy is a good cross section of men and women, young and old, and an ethnically diverse student body and black belt staff. I can't wait to join.
