The tanning chick is a psycho. Not paying attention. Gives you a room number, forgets said room number, then allows patrons to pound on doors screaming for you to get out while you're undressed. Seek help Karen.

A year ago when I first joined, I would have rated this 5 stars. New manager and things aren't what they use to be. Now, when a machine breaks, it's > a month before it's fixed. They run out of supplies (today, no paper towels to wipe down machines, was told they ran out). I'm a Black Card member, two of the hydro machines have been down for a month. Overall, there are a lot of machines, it's bright and generally clean; too bad it has taken a step backwards with the management change. It can get busy, which makes it important for the machines to be repaired, too bad they can't seem to keep machines in working shape. The machines are a bit older than some of the other Planet Fitness locations (like Londonderry) and the weights on the machines in Salem don't go as high as other locations, so it's easy to max out a machine.

Fix your advertisingYou have 24/7 signs all overAnd WE'RE OPEN COME.ON INbut you're closed for a huge chunk of the weekend. It's seriously a scummy all the locations dropped 24/7 after taking so much money from members. Everyone claims it's staffing for overnights. YOUR STAFF DOESNT DO ANYTHING OVERNIGHTThis isn't a complaint about what your employees do overnight they can sleep for all I care just let us use the gym we pay for and were sold as a 24/7 gym .

Waste of money. Once advertised as a 24 hour gym they close on weekends early find a real gym this isn’t worth your time. Staff were super friendly though!

Bright daylight on a summer afternoon, and my gym is shutdown closed at this critical and usual workout time - not one weekend, not two, but for months-on-end and now perpetually. Insane and unacceptable. I continue to lower my previous 5-star review due to intolerable and unjustifiably protracted absurd 7pm weekend closing time. This is economically unjustifiable when judged against the trifling increase in labor cost vs the massive marginal benefit of 3 extra hours twice per week. This business behavior is dishonest and unjustified. When I switched from AF in summer 2019, AF had long maintained 365 TOTALLY unstaffed overnight hours with a front-door digital key system, nationally, with zero issues. PF was advertised to me as a 24/7 gym when I switched over from Anytime Fitness. Closing at 7pm is absurd and infantile; even 7-Eleven pays a single worker to do more overnight than necessary here, and at Anytime, it was open unstaffed overnight. At least bump to 11pm.

No frills gym that may be disrespected by many gym elites, this place, nonetheless, offers an adequate array of workout machinery and space. Can be crowded at prime times but movement is essential to our health and well being. Get off the couch and go purple. You won't be judged.

Edit: Bumped from 5 to 2 stars. They charge a tanning tax on black card members only. The tax is only .08 cents, but I'm being taxed for something I don't use and personally believe is unhealthy! How American!Clean facility and friendly staff. This place is huge! As a new member and beginner I'm enjoying the time I spend here.

Been here 5 times. Would have given 5 stars, gym is clean and well equipped. Trip 3 I was pounced upon as soon as I arrived at 0645 pm. Staff member told me they were closing at 7. Apparently its not quite 24 hrs.! 7pm! On sat and sun. Really, this is a adult gym, correct? 7pm is a bit early. Trip 5 I was greeted at the front door with a sign indicating they were closing at 10pm due to a snow storm arriving 6 hours later. First let me say I understand the need for safety for staff and members but c'mon this is new england, snow is commonplace. Furthermore I'm sure most staff and members live relatively close to their home gym location. Looks like this membership is gonna be short lived.

Why does it take 3 weeks to fix a broken cable on a machine? Not sure I can blame this on the staff though. This is a corporate issue I am guessing. This should be measured in hours or days, not weeks. And yesterday, NO PAPER TOWELS? THIS I can blame on the staff. Looks like I will be going back to WOW.
