Recently, two managers interrupted my dancing to accuse me of "damaging their floors"--they had no evidence that my dancesport heels did that when the scratches they pointed out were already there, before I started dancing there regularly. I wish I documented it before, so that this wouldn't happen, as the staff here has been Extremely rude to me: if you hadn't seen my previous reviews, one manager couldn't care less that I was almost mugged at another location (in a dangerous area) since this location wouldn't let me dance here and threatened that if my shoes "create a divot on [his] floors, he's going to put an end to it;" another manager lied to my face in bad faith that the VP was a female when it's a male and took pictures and videos of my heels w/ her bare hands #COVID to "send for approval" (never heard back), and another manager interrupted my dancing to tell me I couldn't do that w/ my heels and to this day, Still can't acknowledge me as any excellent customer service person would to each and every customer.I find it interesting that when I simply asked if my heels did the "damage" they pointed out, one of them looked around and couldn't even look me in the eyes while saying verbatim, "I mean, there's no other toys or tools that could do that." He also said that I couldn't dance there anymore because of the threat I agreed to. I just wanted to dance b/c I dance to win. However, I can't dance there in my heels or I can't dance there Period? Honestly, this just seems like retaliation for my previous reviews for calling them out on their atrocious service to me. How about being better instead of trying to kick me out because of all the attention I receive for my provocative Latin competitive ballroom dancing? Did it ever occur to you why management here has the notorious reputation it does? It isn't gossip #FactsAnd if you think you can try to stop me from dancing, you won't. I will Always be attracting attention because of my confidence and talent. Perhaps you need to build that muscle yourselves. I would have Loved to say all this to your faces but I don't want to engage with lies and bad energy. You can learn something from Embarcadero and you best believe I will tell all my friends to cancel their contracts w/ you and sign up w/ them as it's $30 cheaper a month and can go to any location they want regardless. Additionally, you don't need to bother responding to this--your last response directing me to your VP was useless as he too didn't care at all about losing me as a member.

It’s impossible to cancel membership. I’ve started it 22d July, and they charged me 32 usd for the rest of Jul and additional 99 usd as a prepayment for last month. I’m moving to another town in September, so I’ve sent a request to cancel membership, however they refuse to do that. They want me to pay August fee, and don’t listen to me when I explain that I’ve been already charged for it. Why should I pay twice? In membership agreement it’s stated that I need to cancel at least 15 days before the next billing cycle. I’ve sent cancelation request as of 5-Aug which is 28 days before September billing cycle. Don’t understand what I was charged for, and why do I have to pay again when I’m asking to cancel? Im asking management to pay attention to this issue, as when I send email to cancelation team, I receive response from the new person each time, with standard text. Looks like they don’t really read my emails. Thank you!Updating my review to answer owner's questions: there is no single world in your membership agreement that minimum I should pay for 3 months. Also, it doesn't say that you charge last month fee at the moment of enrollment (USD 99), which you did. It's been 4 days now that I can't cancel my membership.

The facilities were fine, the Transbay location is their best, however Fitness SF has extremely unfriendly/anti-consumer cancellation and billing policies intended to extract an extra (hundred) bucks from you when you forget to follow their terms of service.I don’t recommend giving your business to Fitness SF, but if you choose to, make sure to read their contract.

The workers at the desk and the facility were nice. However, the app doesn't work well and when speaking to management over the phone I was treated very poorly. Information on what to expect for a membership was either wrong information on not clearly relayed. Definitely read through the fine print if you decide to sign up.

Honestly this gym is a pretty good deal. Unless you go during peak times there is always a squat rack/bench and most equipment available, and even at peak times I’ll still find something. The park upstairs is great for cardio. Classes are solid. There’s also random amenities like a steamer for clothes, a thermagun, etc. Overall the gym is very much worth it for me.

One of the few gyms in SF still offering a focus on weight lifting. This location is new and equipment is in excellent condition. Lots.of variety and plenty of squat racks. A solid place to workout. The overall management is lacking. They do little to assist members and employees often seem completely clueless when you report a problem. The chain has little competition in SF, which is their saving grace.

FITNESS -SF Transbay Love all the equipments, the clean bathroom and friendly staff. BUT, can we please put on a sign to remind some people: please be courteous and not spend 30 mins on your phone while take the machine / bench so others can use too. I have been to all locations, this location seems notoriously having tons of those type of clientele.

Definitely the best location among the Fitness SF chain. Gym is spacious, bright, everything looks brand new. Complimentary towels are a great perk. It gets quite busy in the evenings on weekdays, to the point you have to wait to use equipment but I guess that's typical to all gyms.

A much more spacious, well-equipped gym compared to Fitness SF Castro, and overall better energy. Even at peak times, I don't feel like there are people on top of me and glaring at me to finish my sets. Even though it is a further gym from me, I find it worth it taking the extra 20 minutes to commute to. The staff members are also very friendly when I arrive and leave.

Update: Kudos to management for the quick reply!Overall clean, modern gym with friendly staff. My only issue was with the personal trainer Justin O'Neill - he approached me in a passive aggressive manner and tried to rush me into finishing with a machine in between my sets, saying he is working with a client and the gym is getting busy. I offered they will join in between sets and he rolled his eyes at me. Mr O’Neill likes seating in the member’s area with his feet on the sofas like he owns the place. He desperately need a reality check from management if they want members to feel safe and comfortable at the Transbay location, without getting stares and getting bullied by trainers.Aside from the bald bully - Justin, it is really an amazing location with accommodating, professional staff.
