I'm an official out-of-towner! Paid the $30 drop in fee and it was worth every penny!Great class, positive energy and environment!Friendly staff and excellent coaching! The regular members were friendly as well. Nobody there was sizing me up or anything. Got a good work out in and had a lot of fun! Super legit gym! I'll be back..

Jongsanan is an excellent trainer and former Muay Thai champion fighter. I saw him fight (Muay Thai — and also boxing) against some US champions (over ten years ago) and they could barley touch him; it was almost laughable. I’ve also trained with him dozens, if not hundreds, of times at a former gym. He can be serious when teaching but also has an excellent sense of humor.

I'm visiting San Francisco for a few days and wanted to check out a local Muay Thai gym. Came across Woodenman's and it looked legit. I asked if I could attend their all-levels classes they agreed. Showed up, paid the $30 drop in fee, and enjoyed a fantastic class. Everyone was very friendly and trained smart (no meat heads in class trying to take your head off). If you're a Muay Thai student in the San Fran area I recommend stopping by. If you're new to the area and want to pick up Muay Thai and/or kickboxing give them a shout.

Clean new gym run by some really nice folks! Conner, my coach was amazingly patient and gave tons of helpful feedback during my first drop-in session. The lovely staff even took care of me when I had low blood sugar at the end. Thanks again for the hydration pack and raspberries!

Excellent insructors and the gym is kept absolutely clean! The classes are very focused on technique and keeps to traditional and very effective and practical Muay Thai combinations. Instructors are very helpful and keen on supporting students with their form and technique. The workouts between the drills ensure a great burnout for the day. Highly recommend if you want to get fit while learning a martial art.

I’ve trained at a few gyms and Woodenman Muay Thai is 100% top tier. The instructors are talented, Woodenman himself leads the classes, there’s a strong culture of improvement and the regulars are quite dedicated. In comparison to RISE, El Niño and other gyms in the area, it’s way more accessible (5 mins was from Bart) and way cleaner. The environment is also quite safe, since there’s a diversity of people who train and there’s specialized instruction for anyone who needs to be caught up. I’ll be with this gym as long as I live in SF.

Wow, amazing gym!!! Learn Muy Thai from one of the top striking coaches in the world in San Francisco.Num is one of the best coaches I've had the opportunity to train under. He is a world class instructor with multiple world champions under his next level coaching. He's trained top level fighters in the UFC, Strikeforce, Bellator and grown beginners into advanced level strikers.Whatever your goals are, Num and Malia are perfectly equipped to build your skills, hit fitness goals, or help you fight (professionally/amateur). I highly recommend to spend 60 mins of your day for an into class, Level 1 or come drill spar with some of the best young talent and instruction you could ever have.

If you're looking for real Muay Thai classes in SF by a former Lumpini champion, this is a place to be. It is however not your typical testosterone-filled male dominant type of gym. Everyone is welcome: women, beginners, experienced fighters, etc.
