Fantastic gym. I’ve sincerely enjoyed coming here. There is a good amount of equipment here I haven’t found anywhere else in gyms in Utah. The owners have been nothing but amazing and helpful, and seem to really care about their members. It’s also nice to have a gym owner be passionate about their equipment instead of just having it be another cookie cutter gym. I’ve loved it.

Thank You Hunter!!

Confused why you would take over a gym, and then ban the previous owner/ half your members trainer from attending. There was a large group of us that were informed we had to purchase a membership by October 1st to continue to train with him. Which we all were ready to do. Just to find out John banned him the following day after informing us we all needed a membership. When you take over a 15 year gym with a close knit community, you're going to receive a lot of backlash when you ban the owner. Having a few extra pieces of equipment that Vasa or EOS does not have isn't going to keep the gym alive. Your community and word of mouth will, which he has now ruined for many people. I hope he is prepared for that.... Would not and will not recommend.

This gym used to be a place I called home. After new management it completely changed. You can’t walk in the gym because it’s too crammed, and you ONLY feel welcomed if you’re a professional power lifter. They shoved us in the corner /outside if we wanted to do an actual cardio workout. I got told not to use their equipment and to use the old equipment if I wanted to do a sled drag outside because they didn’t want to ruin their stuff. Felt I was bullied out of the place. They even placed a mirror and cat walk board where stretching is supposed to happen. It was either pay more money or leave. Made it impossible to stay. They act like they care but they don’t, just want your money.

As soon as John took over the gym I was ready to leave. I stayed for my wife because she wanted to give it a chance since her friends were still going here. Jess was nice. So there's a star for that. John always seemed like he cared less about you unless you had a membership with him. Started cramming machines in the gym. You could barely walk and seemed uninterested in having a conversation. After my wife's friends started leaving she decided to do the same and honestly I'm glad. 5x the price for the same concept as your local gym. No thanks.

Best gym I’ve ever been to, hands down. Aside from the amazing equipment, everything is extremely clean and well kept. The amount of thought that went into this gym is absolutely incredible! The owners have really outdone themselves by not only providing a fun place to train, but by attracting a great community. Everyone is nothing but respectful and friendly, and we all look out for each other even when we don’t realize it. Refinery is the place to be🔥 #RefineYourself

The past is in the dirt now, but based on some of these reviews, I feel it’s necessary from a former member who perceives the change differently:I can’t describe my relief that this gym was purchased by new owners. While I loved the sense of community members themselves fostered from before, there was a severe lack of investment into the facilities, intense lack of passion and a general vibe of hostility from the previous owner. Now, at this gym, I am inspired. The second I see the vibrant orange door, I become pumped. The volume of incredible equipment I have access to is amazing. I can now train knowing I am isolating the target muscle and even become very specific about the intricate anatomy. I worry drastically less about injury and feel far less insecure about expertise. Machines make it much easier to do this right and well!Every aspect of this gym was thoughtfully constructed, even down to the pellet ice and ambiance. The owners are happy to show me how to use the world class equipment. The space is often filled with kind and highly inspirational people.I feel safe here. I feel like I am part of something special. I am much more optimistic about my potential now.Thank you for all you’re doing to give us an awesome place to truly train.

Love, love, love this gym! The atmosphere here is great and they seriously have some of the best machines! The owners are geniune. I've been treated like I was their best customer everytime I come in even though I don't have a membership yet. I thought I would just come once or twice, but I keep coming back. I'm to the point where I'm just going to get a full membership because I love this place so much. Ignore the very few bad reviews and give this place a shot. Thanks Refinery!!!
