Paid 300.00 for a 2 hour swim party for my daughter. I am giving the experience 2 stars ONLY because the staff working the party was very nice and super helpful. However, the venue for the party for the cost was not worth the money and I would not recommend a party here for several reasons. 1. There are no decorations allowed per the manager. Instead, the school wants additional monies to do any decorating other than balloons. The extra money was very expensive (200-300 more dollars) making a decorated party 500-600 dollars!! 2. The "party room" is a basketball court- and not a very clean one- in fact it was dirty and old looking with peeling yellow paint- it looked like an old high school basketball court! We were also not allowed to have the balls so the kids had a party on a court they were not even allowed to play on. When I booked, having the court was a perk of having the party there (this is what I was told by Elaine who booked us.) yet we could not play on the court. The school did place table cloths, plates, and plasticware on the table but this was all being done as our party started and was not ready for us when we got there. We were told there would be punch. What we got was 30 juice boxes and nothing else. So the kids swam w nothing to drink aside from the water fountain. Had I known this, I would have brought additional drinks. 3. I was told there would be cupcakes. We are gluten free (getting GF cupcakes was not an option bc they buy them from the grocery store and not from a bakery). The cupcakes that were given were the cheapest cupcakes from the grocery store and they were not very pretty at all. In fact, they were pretty sad looking- small w very little frosting and very cheap toppers that did not match the party. I airbrushed them with my airbrush cake painter and dolled them up with our own cupcake toppers but thankfully I brought a cake because if that was all we would have had, I would have been totally upset to have just those cheap little cupcakes!! For the 300.00 fee for the party I would have at the least expected some nice bakery cupcakes. 4.The pool area was nice, but the deck managers played on their phones a lot rather than interacting or watching the swimmers well. They threw a bunch of floats and noodles in the pool and just let the kids swim for 45 minutes. 5. The party was WAY too scheduled. We were literally rushed out the pool at 6:15 even though the kids did not get in the pool until 5:30 bc I was helping getting the room ready for the party and did not get the waivers done by 5 (Swim school- maybe have moms complete these ahead of time??). We were not given that 30 minutes back and we were rushed to start her party (singing and cake) by 6:30 and were in the car pulling out the parking lot by 7 even after cleanup (party was paid to be from 5-7 but was really from 5:30-6:45). 6. I also felt that the building is older and not the most ideal for a party setting for the cost. While it was fun to swim inside in February, the pool is shallow and the kids can't even jump from the side. All they can do is float and swim. The pool is an above ground shallow floating pool and not at all like their indoor pool at their previous location. We brought our own speaker for music and had it not been for that, the swim area would not have even been "party like" at all and would have been rather boring. Not the best party venue- but the workers were very nice hence the 2 stars. We were a previous swim school family so I did not mind paying the 300- but we won't ever do it again bc their parties are not very impressive at all for the cost and little time the kids actually get in the pool. There are much cleaner and nicer places to have a party where the kids can play for more than 45 min. which is all we got in the pool for 300 bucks.

Great place for my daughter who was 4 when she started. She barely wanted to get in the water at all, but the instructors were just so good with her it was no time before she was under water picking up rings. It was truly a great decision to enroll her at this school and she will definitley be going there until she's older because I fully trust they will make her an expert swimmer!

Horrible experience while working at this facility.Updated response to "current owner's reply":- I didn't work there as a teacher, I was supposed to be a "manager" over the scuba schools, but the owner was very misleading in the details and didn't follow through with agreed upon salary.- I was asked not to cash my paychecks for fear of them bouncing.- I was asked to float the owners payroll for my own paycheck and the paycheck of others employees.(this was also asked of other employees that worked here, involved).- I was lied to, taken advantage of(along with others).- It is well known that the owners of this place are scam artist's.-Infact one of the owner's was arrested for B&E, felony theft, etc. This information can be found in public records.- AS STATED BEFORE....HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!- The actual instructor's and employees are great people, just not the owner's.

I had dealing's with this place and The Scuba Schools(owned by the same people).-Cons-°Extreme mark-ups on merchandise.° Owner's are very dishonest people.° The Owner asked me if I've ever been to jail when trying to sign my child up for classes. I'm assuming because I am African American.(I did several rebel flag stickers displayed on his camper, when it was on site.)° Not located the best part of town. There are always homeless people walking up and down the street in front of this place begging for money and looking into vehicles.° My family signed up for the scuba classes and where very disappointed. Everything seemed rushed and the instructor kept steering off course with silly and annoying stories that weren't relevant to the class. Upon further investigation, we learned that the instructor(who also happens to be the owner, older man), wasn't certified to teach these scuba diving lessons. Therefore our halfway training was voided.-Pros-° The staff seemed to be great people, but the old white haired man(Owner) was extremely rude and disrespectful!

My now 5 year old daughter has attended The Swim School in Shreveport for 3 years. She absolutely loves the instructors and the all other employees. The people at swim school have always been so kind to my daughter and I. They help us in any way possible. Emmi has grown so much in her swimming and I'm so glad she has continued to enjoy it. We love The Swim School!
