Swords! Longswords, shortswords, thick swords and thin swords (or longswords, arming swords, broadswords, and rapiers if you want to be technical). I've been coming here for more than a year now and the membership is worth every penny.Not only have I made good friends here, but I get to hit them with swords!In all seriousness, the environment is very welcoming, it's a great workout, you meet fun people, and you get to learn about the martial traditions of Europe from a historical standpoint. They also do fitness classes and regularly go to competitions.Plus you get to carry around a sword =)

Yes, just yes. Informative, intelligent teacher with love for what he does that permeates the class and makes it enjoyable for everyone. Intuitive, teaching to the student so each person that enters has a slightly different experience. Really show the expertise of the instructor!If you're even considering learning to swordfight then I woild call it a certainty that you need to come to the noble science academy. Truly, a 5/5 experience. (If you need further incentive it's only 68 dollars a month for 1 class a week and new members get a good deal on the equipment needed, making the new member fee 316 dollars, which includes materials (noted: that you don't necessarily need, he will supply materials to you if you dont want to purchase them) and unlimited classes for 2 months).truly a 5/5

It would be easy to say that this is Reno/Sparks' best HEMA school solely because it's our ONLY HEMA school, but this is a genuinely great place. It's clear that the owners and staff are knowledgeable, motivated, and love the material. Plus they're friendly and helpful to boot! If you're even remotely interested in historical swordsmanship, whether because you're into history or sword fighting just sounds fun, you'd be hard pressed to find a better environment and people to learn from!

Great school, great instructors, and great price. Only pay for what you want. Noble Science Academy provides all the gear you need as a beginner. I would recommend this school to anyone interested in martial arts, fitness, or just swords in general.
