The Spokane Valley YMCA - YMCA of the Inland Northwest provides a wide variety of fitness services, including weights, cardio, and swimming facilities. However, some members have raised concerns about the gym's air conditioning and inconsistent pool temperatures. I am very happy to be at the Y all these years. Today I am concerned about the threat of the Covid virus, and I have arrived with a small Lysol spray container, as well as Chlorox wipes for each station I use in the weight room, and the TRX straps I use. I am attempting to make sure I spray every exercise station I use, until this virus is over.Though the Y has always suggested we do this, I am now more active than ever! Perhaps it would be good to offer these types of sanitary tools to members when they enter the Y, when they pick up their towels.Regards,Burke

Too many people use perfume and cologne and it’s extremely uncomfortable to breathe! I complained and was told that there is nothing they can do about it even though it’s against their policy. I was asked “who did I smelled it on” but it’s not my job to go around and sniff people and point our and report them. I feel like YMCA respects and honors the membership money of people who break their policy but not my money who respects their policy. If you have breathing issues you should not exercise at YMCA Spokane Valley.
