A few things to consider if you plan on attending this gym:If I gave a review of this location based on my first 6-8 weeks I would have given it 5+ stars. I have always had great experiences with the company and staff members at each gym (the membership allows for access to all gyms world-wide which is convenient for me, as I travel for work often). When I moved here last year I began to use this gym regularly. I had an overall great experience but unfortunately a few uncomfortable experiences have made me drive to another gym that's less convenient and nowhere near as friendly.INITIAL EXPERIENCE:I was immediately greeted with a smile by the owner Traci. She gave me a tour of the whole gym and showed me how to use their class program. Since the gym is open 24/7 I could do Zumba in my own private (and beautiful) group room, anytime! Traci really made me feel welcomed and I could tell she was very proud of her gym which is reassuring of the product I was paying for.POSITIVE NOTES/TIPS:-Traci seems to put a lot of time into improving the gym. I loved the new freeweight area-PRIVATE SHOWERS IN THE BATHROOMS! The showers were clean, the water is plenty warm. I didn't have to worry about somebody stealing my possessions when I was in the shower, and can get ready if you're headed somewhere after.- It was always clean, smelled fresh and the equip was dust free.-As a single female, i felt safe knowing that it was secure-access only and that you HAD to have a key to come in.MY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE THAT MADE ME PART WAYS:Unfortunately, months later, a group of men began to form and attend at the same time. They usually frequent the entire freeweight area that I previously mentioned. There were roughly 5 of them and when following their workout routine they took up the entire area, denying my access to the equip. If I were dare sit on one of the benches for a set or two with the weights, I would feel uncomfortable as they stared at me and whispered and laughed. Then if I ever got up for water they took over my position and look at me as though I wasn't welcome back. I just became accustomed to using the cables that were outside of that area. Their visits became longer, sometimes 2+ hours. They soon began to actually yell at each other from across the gym, as they picked up and THREW down weights. It was very frightening to me as a small single female to hear "f**k yeah man. You got this baby. Get that s**t up like I know you f**king can" and etc as I'm trying to speed through my workout next to them. The terms they used to one another were derogatory and the main one seemed to set the tone for the rest of the group, excessively shouting the F word and essentially kicking other members out of the freeweight area. They were aggressive and stared around at members often, maybe to establish some sort of dominance? It got worse as weeks went by and when I got the courage to confront a male trainer that I recognized from the staff wall as Tommy, he said he "knew them personally", that I "had nothing to worry about", and that the main man used to "work at AF so we kind of let him do his own thing." It's was very discouraging. I tried for weeks after that to ignore it but they could be heard through the whole gym. They came after staffed hours on purpose so that the office staff didn't see/hear them. At one point I asked the man who was working out next to me to politely tell them they were making me feel uncomfortable and the main one and his friend told the man that he needed to mind his own business and stop being a "p**sy" because they "are hitting number" whatever that means. With many failed attempts to squash this consistent problem, I told Traci I needed to leave the gym for good. She seemed genuinely sorry, and offered to have a meeting with him to stop the problem, but I felt like I would have been targeted by the men and chose to cancel at that time instead.I really loved the gym. If those men were ever to quit I would sign back up in a heartbeat, but I don't want to put Traci in that situation.

The owners are the best. Very accommodating to your needs, just ask and they will do their best to get it for you. Smaller gym, not intimidating at all. I like the variety offered because some days you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't :)

Decent for a 24 hour fitness center. Equipment is always clean, usually not to busy, price is a little high compared to surrounding options for what they offer. (Classes aren't free like some other fitness centers)

Paisha Cree I've been lifting for 4 years and the management is right, it is a safety purpose you don't know what may happen with the weights, they are heavy objects and some are round might I add, may fall roll and put your child into danger, you cannot predict the future. So please for future reference and future safety please acknowledge the safety precautions taken especially around an infant

Staff was horrible went in there with my baby who was sleeping in her car seat and started working out when the women managing told me I couldn't be here with my kid for safety reasons which she said in a very Uncourteous and rude way. I can understand that but the location in Deer Park , Wandermere, and Argonne had no problem with me having my child there and in fact they all came up and commented and were very nice and welcoming. Because they also have brought their own children in and worked out at the same time. The management is horrible they look at you like your dirt and the woman had the audacity to ask if my husband and I both keyed in which we have two accounts and both have memberships and walk in at the same time. I said yes while we were walking out. And she said she was going to double Check that. They obviously don't care to treat there members with any kind of appreciation or respect. This location has had many bad reviews and obviously someone needs to look over who's running this gym. Its not the fact she said I couldn't have my baby there, its the fact of how she said it and how she tried to turn it around on us like we were bad people and double checking our membership like we're intruding in a special club that were not welcome in.

I've been a member for six months at the fitness center on Hastings and was fine with it.This new gym that recently opened on Francis is closer to my house so I thought I'd tryit out.So far my experience was terrible, the first day, despite being given a tour by themanager of the establishment, I was given the slight impression of uncertainty anddisfavor. However I decided to give it a chance and came back with a friend to be a guest. The experience this time around was awful. Instead of having an hour workout wewere treated as potential mischiefs for twenty minutes, and made to sign waivers just to be allowed to use the facility for one day. They even made an accusation that involved the phrase "the stunt you guys just tried to pull"We left the place with bad tastes in our mouths and now I feel the need to cancel mymembership.I understand that each Anytime Fitness Centers are managed differently fromone another and can have different policies, rules & regulations. However there is no call fortreating people with such complete disrespect. It is as if they didn't want us there because we appeared average and not already physicallyappealing. The whole point of going to a gym or FC is to help us achieve our physical goalsand improve our health. It's a "Fitness Center" not some exclusive social club.My final opinion : The attitude of the staff running the place are pompous and uncourteoustowards others and slaves to vanity and repel those who they consider unworthy. The facility, while is looks cozzy and the equipment is new and fancy, the space is small and not worththe expensive monthly fee.

I have been attending this wonderful facility for 2 months now and absolutely love it! I have tried other gym's and this one felt like my fit. The staff is so welcoming and have been encouraging me to be the best 'me' from enrollment! I started attending Boot Camp with Chase about a month ago and it has been intense but doable because of the attitude that he brings into the room. Attitude is everything and I feel completely empowered during his training. Tracie and Ken the owners are wonderful and I have enjoyed getting to know them immensely. The facility is so clean and well kept, I love the easy wipes to sanitize equipment as well, and all the guests have been super friendly! Have never had to deal with equipment that was broken or questionable, like other gyms I've tried out.

This facility is phenomenal! THE STAFF AMAZING! The equipment is clean, cared for and maintained with concern and in haste! I was on a machine the other day that was squeaking and Kelly came out from her office to sniff out the noise. She did the trouble shooting and a quick repair and then set up a real fix to get it completely dealt with. Kelly is ALWAYS responsive, kind and generous in her dealings. She is professional and encouraging! Traci and Ken, the owners are always engaging and kind and ready to offer help and assistance with any need! She knows me by name from the very beginning of my enrollment and has ALWAYS went the extra mile! I can't say enough good stuff about this STAFF and facility! I encourage anyone that is in this area to check it out and give it a real honest test run! You will NOT be disappointed! I PROMISE! Great gym!

Good location and equipment, but as an anytime member just on vacation in the area this is a terrible place for visitors. Only location to have a $10 fee per visit for those not a member to the gym. Making new guests feel like a hassle and unwelcome. Drawing out the flaw that people locally own this franchise by location. I cannot at all recommend this location to anyone that wants to have his or her friend experience the joy these gyms can provide. I love anytime fitness, but this one I can't recommend. Same complaints as the review below that also gave this location a negative review.
