The owner make your sign a 3 year commitment that will continually bill you even after you try to cancel or freeze. The owner is a money grubber and also give away too many memberships. Way too much grief just to work out.

I actually liked the gym. I went to the gym three years ago.I ended my membership and moved away in 2021.I just received a call from collections because they have been charging me for my ended membership since 2021. The person was rude and wasn't willing to actually try resolve the situation - they were just after the money. If Summit wants to clear this issue up, I would love to give them the 4/5 star review their gym had earned in my memory. But this cash grab attempt definitely sours any memory I have of the gym. Seems like such a bad business decision to chase down old members like this... I don't recommend this gym.

I joined back in February, and thankful I still have my membership at the Washington Community Center. Every time we visit the River Road location there are more broken cardio machines than working. The stairmasters and treadmills lack maintenance and have signs constantly on them, and have yet to be repaired. Worst decision I ever made. I'll be glad when my 3 years are up!

Went to swim in the pool at River Road and it was 71 degrees. It has not been warm ALL winter. I depend on the pool for my physical therapy. Another woman showed up in a wetsuit to swim! She said she has had to wear a wetsuit all Winter. I know your Sunset location is a priority but what about your River Road facility? We pay for a heated pool and you are trying to save money by not heating it. You got rid of the indoor pool, so the cost savings should pay to heat the outdoor pool. Please heat it to the 72 degrees you promised us when joining. Your instructors are STAR 10!!!! Kara, Jeannie and Lorri have changed my life.

They charge you a yearly fee for upkeep but so many machines are broken. Half the treadmills don’t work and there are no signs that say out of order so you just try each one until you hit the jackpot. You can’t find the weights you’re looking for and they need an additional leg press machine. The new facility in sunset is beautiful, but they really need to invest in upkeep at the River road location.I just read the other reviews and it looks like this place has not been taken care of for the past few years. There was even a response that said the treadmills have been fixed. That is not true. I hope the management will listen to the feedback they’re getting and do something about the situation.I have been a member since 2017, I took a break over Covid and feel like I’ve come back to a much worse gym.

I’ve been a member of Summit for about 10 years now. They have always been good to me. Recently, they have really lacked the maintenance and care for equipment. There’s always treadmills and stair steppers that don’t work. I would probably switch guns but they are definitely the most convenient to my schedule. Luckily I got in years ago and my rates have been grandfathered in. I wouldn’t pay the high prices now for a bunch of broken equipment. I hope they change it. I’d give 5 stars if the equipment worked.
