Amazing gym with a great environment and the best staff. Robynn and Bianca always greeting with smiles. Locker rooms are always clean and that’s something to look for at a gym. 10/10

This is the best gym in the entire Fairfield county. The equipment is always clean and in order unlike other gyms around here *cough cough* LA Fitness. The staff there is always nice and welcoming. Jonathan is the best, make sure to say hi to him. They also have an amazing pendulum squat that is to die for. No leg machine in Connecticut can match it!

I moved to Stamford CT in 2016 and Underground Fitness has been my second home since I moved here. Underground is the best gym in the area with the absolute best price, hours, and great equipment. It’s also a independent gym and the owner will take action to request on new equipment and attachments.

i’ve been going to this gym for a few months now and i absolutely love it! the environment is super clean and the vibe is incredible!! it’s unlike any other gym because people actually come here to workout.

I’ve been a member for a little over a year and the gym is very clean, the members are chill, and the staff are always willing to help out. There is a solid assortment of equipment. Even during the busier hours, wait times are not long for a machine or a bench.

Absolutely love this gym. I’m new to Connecticut and needed to find a gym. Haven’t been upset with my decision yet. The gym is super clean, equipment is very up to date and the staff has made me feel more than welcomed.

Amazing Gym and it’s affordable!Not a lot of people so you’ll most likely have your workout station to yourself. All equipment are new and they assist you with your exercise to perfect your form!Love this gym!

PROS:- decent price, not too bad to attend at non-rush hour times- some cool machines. I’ll give u that- the workers clean the bathroom/locker room every day so that part feels clean- mirrors everywhere so you can easily check form (but you can also see creepy men staring at you when they’re stupid enough to not realize you can see them)- the layout of the gym is a bit odd but not small by any means (WHEN not crowded)CONS:- mirrors look like theyve never been cleaned, some kettlebell weights are so old the weight (in lbs/kg) are NO longer visible to read.- machines are very clearly NEVER wiped down by workers. Non-“seat” parts of machines are dusty/dirty and not fun to look at (even if we are not touching those parts with our hands).- they have like 6 mats maybe for the entire gym. 1 is messed up so that’s a total of 5 normal mats, but all of them look dirty to some extent. Surely not “clean” feeling- during rush hours (which is basically any time after 4:30 pm, if you work a day job you’re screwed) this place is h3ll to try to work out inLong story short: unless you can come at non-rush hours easily, i wouldn’t recommend this gym. They should also clean machines more often and replace old weights. Hire someone to deep clean machines/mats/mirrors once a week or something and it would make a big difference

I really like this gym. I’ve been there early morning and after work and it’s not as crowded as some of the other local gyms. They aren’t perfect. So if you’re looking for a powerlifting gym this is probably not it but if you just want a place to get your lifts in before/after work and aren’t trying to set up a tripod and be all cutesy for the gram you should check out underground. If you are trying to set up a tripod and are only concerned with looking cute and taking pictures then maybe go somewhere else. Not enough squat racks for that nonsense. Took a star away for the number of power racks and the fact that staff don’t seem to do any cleaning or organizing. People don’t re rack their weights so it can get a little annoying if you are the type that does and doesn’t want to search for 45’s every session. Having staff spend even 30 minutes a shift casually putting stuff back would have a tremendous impact but again…. I’m just there to lift so it’s whatever. Check it out…. Or don’t.

Been coming here for years. Comfortable, neat and the setup helps you wanna work out more. HOWEVER, they're no longer open 24hours and no longer allow guest, which is a BIG BUMMER. I don't usually bring guest but it's nice to be able to bring a work out buddy once in a while. I don't know any other gyms that don't allow guests. Also, it gets crowded at night time, so that limits the equipments availability and personal space...
