I enjoyed the place. The equipment is ok. It is a very affordable gym and worth the money. All my problems started when I moved out of Tracy and wanted to cancel my membership. One employee told me that I should have done it before the 20th of the month. So I payed one month more. Next month I went on the 6th and they told me I had to pay the whole month anyway. You have to go in person to cancel so imagine how upset I was as I kept paying for something I was not using anymore. It is really a pity. My whole experience had been so positive til that moment and now I feel cheated. That's why I'm giving only one star. So, my advice is, go there only if you think you'll be a member for ever.

The facilities are okay. But the spa that was supposed to be fixed within a week has been takin over a month and the swimming pool was out of order too. They need to update and upgrade all their equipment. The water works teacher that teaches at 7:00 p.m every tues and thurs sucks!!! Worst instructor ever! I didn't even bother to remember her name. She instructs outside of the pool and eats like a pig in front of us! So unprofessional! I prefer the morning classes with Kathleen she also instructs yoga and goes in the water and instructs more clearly. Other than the bad instructor and some outdated equipment it's okay going to.

The facility is fair/good, staff extremely friendly and welcoming... there have been a few upgrades so the improvements are nice- I think they can use a few more upgrades... I compare to the club in Modesto so my expectations are a little higher. My only two complaints: the weight room, and wandering kids. The weights (plates & dumbbells) are strewn all over the place (members should be responsible and put away after use but that almost never happens) and the other is wandering kids (it doesn't happen every time I'm there but it happens frequently) while parent works out. I think this is where staff needs to get a little more involved. Perhaps putting up some reminders in the workout area, reminding parents as they come in and over head reminders.

I was member for a couple months I had a really bad experience cause a lack of management (ivonne and Toni) plus installation was not the best. If you going to sign up be careful don't give you credit card to them cause they will charge you extra fees even if you cancel you membership. I had to take a day off from work to go the main office in Stockton to deal with my account and took almost three months to get my money back. Also I had to CANCEL my credit card from my bank in order to stop those ridiculous charges from u shape gym that made me upset.

16 Dec 15,Had a billing issue for training, but Mrs Macias and team followed up and are currently correcting the problem, apparently was an oversight on their part. The fact that she followed up says a lot, much appreciated. The gym is nice and has many amenities to offer.

The territory manager called and said they would look into the full classes/stamps/child care hours. He was really nice and professional. Haven't seen any changes yet. I remain hopeful.Got a stamp for the 8:00 am Pump class and still could not get in the room. I tried to speak with a manager and apparently they are not available until after noon. If the daycare opens at 8 and the class starts at 8 and then you can't get in the room then it looks like the family membership is a scam. What a waste of a morning and a waste of $100 a month.

Great place for families to enjoy amenities and active environment. Weight room is a little small though... but great staff and clean establishment. I love it!

My complaint is for there personal training. i paid for 120+ sessions and 90+ of them in full and in advance. today my trainer, which is great, Will called and stated he seen the sessions and has been trying to clear them up but for me to call corpate which i did. They state that 69 of the sessions which were at least $35 each totals $2400+ EXPIRED. since when do you penalize customers for paying upfront. especially when they didn't assign Will to us for until we complained that none was getting to us about training for 3+ months. the trainers are good but the office are crooks.

Tried out In-Shape Sport and it is so not worth $60+ a month (plus ridiculous sign-up fees- seriously, it's like buying a car). It was clear as soon as I had an interaction with a pretty rude girl at the front desk that I wouldn't be wasting my hard-earned money on that place. I really couldn't believe how snobby she was! And we were kept waiting for 15 minutes while another employee casually strolled around before helping us with our free trial. I'm sorry, but when I go to the gym I'd like a little bit of hustle. To top it off, Juice Bar was closed at 4pm! I don't know what the hours are since I didn't see them posted anywhere, but overall it didn't seem worth it for what you pay for membership. I'll stick to my $10 a month membership at In-Shape Fit. Same machines, same equipment, and at least they smile!!!
