Anytime Fitness

I highly recommend this gym to anyone. I visited several gyms when picking one out, and Laura and Paul at Anytime Fitness in Sonoma stood head and shoulders over everyone else on how they worked with my needs signing up, and they have been great ever since. They have a wide variety of equipment, and I was able to find a workout that helped me prepare for rowing the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon twice within 7 months. I rocked both trips! Thank you Laura and Paul!December 2023 updat: After returning to this gym after a COVID hiatus, and another Grand Canyon trip coming up in April 2024, they treated me so well, and even though I had been gone for more than a year, they even remembered me. Again, highly recommended!

I would like to start this review by saying that I’ve been a patron at this gym for quite some time. This gym has two showers but only one is usable, for some reason they have chosen to not open the second shower in well over a year. The gym is clean but limited on equipment. They hardly ever get new equipment if any at all, what you see is what you’ll get for the years to come which is strange because each member is charged a yearly fee on top of their monthly fees for “equipment maintenance and upgrades”. There are no mirrors in front of the power racks to help with your form and safety when performing lifts. The music played at the gym is very repetitive and does not fit the ambience. The gym is small so equipment and space is taken up fast. The air flow/ circulation is poor causing the windows to constantly fog up. This has caused offensive odors to linger the gym longer. During the winter when it rains the gym has several leaks leaving puddles of water on the floor. To my knowledge it is the most affordable gym in Sonoma at the moment.Thank you for taking the time and reading this review I hope the owners take some of this into consideration.

this place is a great gym,reason is you can go work out anytime,the place is clean,all of the equip is good shape and its just a all perfect gym

Convenient location and modern cardio equipment with screens, but didn’t find things that I have seen at other AFs….…no enclosed room to select fitness programs via touchscreen or to stretch quietly; no dedicated tricep or bicep machines; limited free weights (only found 1 set of 10, 12, and 15 lbs and all were in use); no lower back press machine; no calf machine; no mini lockers to put keys or another item for the day, just open cubby holes; cardio machines have time limits, which I haven’t seen at any AF, so it must get super busy, and it was pretty busy when I went.I can see this gym as a good option only during off hours. But seeing how it’s a small town with limited gym options, maybe there are never off hours.I have been to 4 AFs in Phoenix, AZ and 2 in Sonoma County. I have to say that the one at 32nd St. in Phoenix was the best and will therefore ruin you for any other AF.

The gym was clean for the most part but very limited equipment and very limited weight section. The bathrooms appeared clean but some of the customers don’t know how to flush so that was gross.

Love this gym! Laura and Paul are awesome. The facility has lots of space and a great variety of equipment. Definitely my "home" gym!

Best managed gym in Sonoma Valley. Facility is super clean. Equipment is well maintained.

If you want a no non-sense gym with 24/7 access in cities all across the country and you don't need locker rooms, spas or towel service, Anytime Fitness is for you.Usually located in strip malls or industrial spaces, these gyms use a universal electronic access fob and lots of security cameras to police the space.Basic to mid-level weight and aerobic gear. Low cost. Few amenities. Many outlets.

I was staying in Sonoma for a few days and my hotel didn't have much of a gym. I contacted the gym with an email and they were quick to respond. I filled out a few forms and they dropped a fob at my hotel for me to use while in town. The gym was clean. They had plenty of equipment and I thought it was an overall great experience.
