My son and I have been members for 13 years and have seen many good times and benefits to not just our physical health but that to of our mental health.. Mgmt and all Staff are so helpful and friendly and life guards. You all need a huge thank you and a token of our appreciation.Only one more comment..A big downfall for myself , and others from the community have voiced opinion regarding that swimming hours reflect around classes , and thats big .... working mon-friday gives 1 day saturday to enjoy the facility, and sauna before being rushed out by 1 pm for lessons.Do both pools need to be shut down ?Closing before 10pm and taking adult tranquility away really was a huge bummer the hours changed... stopped me from my daily routine.. after so many years of being a night owl going in at 8-10 truly helped with the struggles and health issues very much.Sauna needs to be a place to unwind, relax , and it's therapy for some, but the last few times others come in dressed in workout apparel with cell phones in hand , and holding up their phones taking selfies of themselves gave us and others some uncomfortable feelings having a phone waving around one half dressed in swim suits was a downer for the others and us. And male youth should not be in the women's dressing rooms with 4 or more siblings and parents adults either.....phones need to be put up and people should respect others privacy, and think that maybe another person could have a pace maker we just never know so to keep things safe for others I'd like to kindly ask public or members totry and have some etiquette and put the phones up for 30 mins and maybe a note printed by staff reminding the users of these factors. It would be greatly appreciated.Until next time keep up the good work and know the YMCA changes lives in so many wonderful ways and staff hands down you all are appreciated. :)

My wife and daughter like to go swimming at Firstenburg during the summer months and I thought Id check the pricing at the YMCA since its a bit closer. 55$ per individual adult, since my daughter is only six years old I figured she might fall under my wives membership since the young adult membership starts at 12 years old, but that was not the case when I called. Then they tried to push me in to the 99$ a month family plan even though Id never personally use it since I dont like swimming. I then had to explain why would I pay for a family membership when i could just pay for an adult individual, and a young adult individual to save myself 20$. Adding in the 50$ first time subscribers the cost starts to compare to pricey chain gym memberships with access to a pool. Its kind of depressing that there has become no difference between the two. Ill stick to Firstenburg

Water is healing and helps rebuild confidence! Many years ago I was in a terrible accident that disabled me. I wasn't a small person by no means at the time. A bit larger than I am now by about 60lbs. After my accident I became depressed an on so many medicines that helped keep me large an to gain alot more weight. I was 597lb when I finally almost lost my life from years of medication induced weightgain , depression. I went to a few gyms and was treated Horrible. You'd think if a big person went to a gym asking for help they would have. Nope I was met with insults and people recording me ezcercise. This all almost a decade ago time a bit different now in some of these gyms. Anyways I went to a YMCA an was never treated ever anything less than wonderful! In all the many years I've gone to multiple YMCA in many different states I've always been treated wonderful. This particular location I must admit is my favorite! In the last few months my confidence is better than it's ever been. Before my confidence was only on my sales floor of my profession. But I committed myself an some time to helping my Mother-in-law and other members of the family few days a week at the pool. Now I'm truly seeing the magic of water and how its so healthy for so many for so many different reasons. My in-law uncle is Autistic things were very different when he was growing up. People didn't know or understand . He's very lucky an grew up with a good family who loves him an takes care of him. But he's also very shy an look at him in the picture!!! He's blossom like a flower ! He loves the water. He's so interactive an talktive while in the water .I may view the water different since I feel it at personal level. But the education background I have if you wanna swim go swim here if y9uve ever felt uncomfortable anywhere else you will feel safe here an very welcome. Add before an now me also!

I love this place! They hold up to what they say they offer. Showers could stand a good cleaning but it won't deter me from going back!

Hadn't been to the Y for a while, months. The place was still clean, and the equipment, track, and pool as always great for my exercise routine. What is most satisfying, staffThey engaged me in conversation, demonstrated a personal interest. People who come through the door are important and get much more their Hi and smile. It's not an arm wrapping hug, BETTER A RELATIONSHIP HUG EXPERIENCE.

Such friendly staff. I love the spin class and go to boxing every week. The lap pool usually only has 1-2 people to a lane which is nice. The sauna is clean. The hydrotherapy massage chairs are extra but feel amazing. We pay $99 per month for two adults (household membership). Guest passes are $15 per day.

We love swim lessons and basketball! Great instructors and work out programs. Plus a sauna and a steam room is a big plus!

Our kids go to the summer camp, and they love it. The councilors are young, but friendly and fun according to my 12 year old, and our littlest has basketball here as well. We highly enjoy the friendliness of the staff, the family feel of the coaches with the team and the community of parents is pretty amazing too. In this day and age, these things can be hard to find. I highly recommend it.

Price is outrageous, unless you have a membership and plan to go multiple times a week. Nice pool but it takes at least 20 minutes to get past the desk and lifeguards and actually get into the pool. My biggest issue are the rude lifeguards. Very dismissive.
