This is a great pilates studio if you are a beginner or using pilates as a means of recovering from an injury. If you want to distinctly work on form, this is also a good place. Katie and Lydia are very nice.

Amazing place. Katie is great and way more knowledgeable about Pilates than most other studios around town. She is also a very friendly teacher and a nice person to be around. I had no idea how much Pilates was able to do for your body and health ( in a physical and science driven way) till I met her. Unlike things like yoga that are meant to be healthy in a mental and spiritual way, Pilates is just types of stretches and exercises for your muscles and joints to strengthen and improve them, as well as recover from injuries! It’s insane that it’s a legitimate alternative to all sorts of serious surgery. And that’s exactly what Katie does for people. Amazing place that 100% deserves 5 stars.

I have been coming to Life Pilates 3 times a weeks for almost a year. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and back issues. My core strength is much stronger now and I have much more flexibility. It has definitely made a difference in the quality of my life! And Lydia is absolutely awesome!! Highly recommend Life Pilates!

How fortunate to land at Life Pilates! I’m so glad a friend recommended them to me. This 60+ gal has found a path to regain flexibility, strength, and self-confidence. Lydia is the perfect coach to take me there! So knowledgeable, patient, and easy to train with. So many options for classes, too. I’m looking forward to trying one and meeting other coaches!

Katie and Lydia are the best! They are able to adjust each session to what I need, even in a group session, while still challenging me. I leave each workout feeling better than when I came in. They are not just trainers, but teachers. I highly recommend Life Pilates!

Katie is the absolute best! She was able to determine the source of my back and neck pain and thru some simple and humbling routines in her workouts, I have been able to reduce the number of visits to my chiropractor by 80%. She pays attention to the details in my form, that I know would never get addressed if I was in one of those large classes at other studios. If you want to work with one of the instructors for a pilates class in Vancouver, I would highly recommend Katie and her team!

Katie, Martina, and the whole team at Life Pilates are not just Pilates instructors, they are also trained experts on physiology and anatomy. Since attending Pilates classes at Life for nearly a year and a half, my posture and flexibility has vastly improved, and my core strength is SOLID. I no longer have neck aches or back aches, even after sitting at a desk all day!

Katie has changed my life and my body. When I was referred to Life Pilates I had come from my neurologist who informed me that surgery for the stenosis in my lower back had a 50/50 chance of being successful. Within a month with Katie I was STRIDING through the store with no pain. As an unexpected bonus I have gained back the 1/4 of an inch (of height) that I lost from aging. I have been attending Pilates weekly for 3 years this fall. I am 77, and feel like I am in my 30's. I am so grateful that I found this practice. Katie and her instructors are detailed and clear when imparting information to those attending classes. Thank you, Katie!!!

I started pilates about a year and a half after my first daughter was born (I know this is posted under my husband's name) and I was having severe pain in my hips, and couldn't walk long walks without having to stop and rest. After only a few months the pain was gone in my hips and I was building incredible strength. Not only did it help with my body post baby, but being a full time dental hygienist I also get pain in my back, neck, and shoulders all the time. Pilates has had a HUGE impact on my posture and the pain from my job is almost gone! I even stopped getting regular massages and chiropractic care because I didn't need it. All I need is a good dose in the studio. I promise if you start you won't stop, it's addicting. The ladies create such a peaceful and meditative environment that you'll be hurrying to come back for more. I just had my second baby and I can't wait to get back in!

LOVE LOVE LOVED the class I took with Katie. It was informative and tons of fun. I was a Pilates doubter, just because of the videos I had tried never seemed to work and i never felt the results. She is knowledgeable and very passionate about what she does. As a Massage Therapist, having a strong and stable core is essential to what I do. I really felt that with Katie's class that I got that core work out. Now, I apply all that she has taught me in my other workouts and will be going back soon! Thank you Katie for that wonderful experience. :-D
