This place is like Lord of the Flies. There is no staff on the floor to observe behavior or offer guidance. It only takes one or two unruly members to cause a visit to be unpleasant.

No A/C in the large group classroom space. Very hot during workouts. Ststionary cycling room is very small and the room gets sweaty during classes. Older equipment.

Worst gym in Ventura. Always dirty in restroom. Smells, puddled water everywhere. Never mopped. Usually never has paper towels. The old women in the bathrooms are practically playing with themselves in the lockers. One is always showering with the shower curtain open. Management clearly doesn’t care about anything other than getting people in the door.

Been a member of this LA fitness locations since it opened in early 2000s. They made lots of improvements over the years - they have a big pool, racquetball courts, basketball court, lots of cardio machines upstairs, plenty of free weights and cable machines, as well as a nice studio area where they offer classes. I wish they would BRING BACK Classic Step Aerobics! Locker rooms are due for an upgrade but overall, great gym!

Nice clean gym but 0 etiquette rules at this club so I'm docking down to 3 stars. I workout here 5 days a week but am getting frustrated with waiting on equipment. Many members here have horrible gym etiquette. They sit on equipment in between sets and play with their cellphones. They also sit phones, water bottles, gym bags, etc on benches they don't even use while they do free weight exercises. The staff needs to crack down on this rude nonsense. I'm strongly considering not renewing my membership because I'm fed up with waiting 20 minutes for equipment while some nimrod is playing with their text buddy in between sets!

Very dirty locker room, toilet and shower area flooded from toilet overflow for over an hour and a half no one came to work on it. The toilet water was tracked all around the locker room. Trash is overflowing. People are leaving hair all over.. the gym floor itself wasn’t too bad, but could definitely use a little work.

My go to for workout, sauna and swim. Super nice staff, Natalie and Marylin are first to open 5:30 am... I go to other L.A. Fitness, this is the best, and BIG.
