We would go here to exercise and work out lift weights and then run on the treadmill and we would climb on the stair stepper like going up the mountain and we would be sweaty and strong

Just enough equipment to do what you need to do. Layout makes sense, and the staff is friendly.

It has all you need and some more. Usually isn't busy in the early morning hours.Been here for a few years after the top post. By far, one of the good naval/marine Corp gyms. Not lux but you can get what you need done. There are students here and they tend to roll in here in groups, so choose your times wisely if you wanna workout and not look for equipment. Staff is nice and personable. If you are friendly to them, they are going to remember your face. Great place to workout on NBVC.No more mask mandate.

Never had a bad experience here. The workers always keep it clean and they have all the equipment and weight you need to strength train. One worker even went above and beyond the other day. I did a Spin class and left my head phones on the bike. The worker took the time to walk to the other locked building, search and find them right when i told him. That is real kindness right there.

Place to get your workout on. No sweet smelling gym here. You will not find folks looking at themselves in the mirror and clogging up the bench. Serious lifters only!

Great gym! Gets a little crowded but the crowd is all miltary or miltary affiliated so they are respectful, clean, and professional. Staff is very polite and clean. Great gym!

There is a good amount of equipment but you’re packed into a room the size of a Highschool class room. Top that off with having the cardio stacked on top of some make shift beams where you can see the whole thing shaking. And you have a gym with A lot of potential ... to get people killed. I’m not trying to rag on MWR or the staff. They do what they can. But a base of this size should / could have an Olympic level facility. Instead we have a converted ware house and a huge basket ball court. Seems like the Navy really loves Amlin basket ball courts doesn’t it?

Good gym with several sets of free weights bench and squat racks downstairs. Upstairs are several different kinds of cardio machines that are usually not busy and there are TVs all over the walls additionally there is huge fans on top of the ceiling so it's usually cool in there, even in the summertime.
