Since I joined @onelifefitnessvbblvd in 2018, I've been pleading with management to equip the gym with specific #Hammerstrength style machines; in particular, a #Hammerstrength style flatbench. The only response I get is a "we'll look into that", which basically means, "I'm not even listening to you nor considering anything you say". Now here comes @crunchchimneyhill to the #vabeach area and they have 2 #Hammerstrength flatbench machines from day one. When Onelife gets new equipment itll be equipment in which the gym already has or some weird reject equipment that nobody has use for. Thanks alot #onelife

So far a great experience. Started personal training, even though I was new to the weight training world - I trusted the process and my trainer has always been informative and pushed me to my potential . I haven’t felt this strong in years, even though it wasn’t easy and it was awkward at first , the training program works well if you are committed.

When you or your family suffer a medical emergency and you can no longer afford or are able to attend the gym, they still make you pay the full amount of for the year. Haven't stepped in the facility in over 7 months and they continued to charge us, regardless of our situation.. I would recommend planet fitness where you can cancel anytime w no reasoning. 🖕OLF

My fav location!! Equipment isnt outdated & the bathrooms are perfect for getting ready before going to work. The personal trainers are great! I attend fit360 & love Ardelia & Roland AND the sitters in the daycare area! My toddler refuses to behave at any of the other locations. :)

Unhelpful undertrained staff and no corporate help lines to expedite resolving issues.I’ve been a member for almost 2 years now. The first year and a half I was a paying member. After getting engaged I added my fiancé to my membership. I then started training at OneLife. They cancelled my membership to give me a free employee membership. Last month I stopped working at onelife so the employee membership stopped (fair enough). Last week, the free membership lapsed. My Fiancé was stopped and so she paid what she thought was the total of what we owed this month. The front desk attendant were new and actually charged her for a week pass. This week I tried to communicate that I’m happy to add my card back to their system so we can pay, I’d just like to have the portion my fiancé got charged credited. They informed me that would not be possible. Because I have had an overall good experience, I decided to just renew the membership. The assortment manager informed me that I’d have to pay the enrollment fee since my membership was canceled. I never cancelled my membership, it was cancelled by OneLife corporate. The enrollment fee is not some small amount of money. I will not be re-enrolling to a gym I never stopped belonging to.To make matters worse. There is no corporate number I can call and their member services have still not gotten back to me via email.Time to find a local gym that might value their members time a little better.

I’m so glad Onelife sent me an email to ask me to take a survey and leave a google review, because other wise I wouldn’t have done so to share how awful this gym is compared to all other Onelifes. This gym is downright dirty, it looks it, and smells it. I’ve been a onelife member for three years, first at Princess Anne, then at Redmill. Both those gyms always have employees cleaning. Now that I live next to the Blvd, it’s a quick option, but I avoid it if I can. In the last 6 months I’ve gone, I’ve not seen a single employee ever cleaning. Their equipment is always broken. For a good while, they only had two of all stairmasters working, and the ones that did work felt like they may break under your feet (still feel that way). One of my children were hurt in childcare, to a point they bled. They told the childcare employees, none of them did a single thing, no call to me, nor did they even offer my child a bandaid. When I talked to the childcare manager, she assured me it’d be addressed, and she’d get back in contact with me , never heard a word back. If this gym wasn’t so close to me I’d never go here.

I am deeply disappointed to share my recent experience at the One Life Fitness facility located at 2844 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA.My family and I, visiting from out of town, were denied the free day pass we had been assured of over the phone. Upon arrival, we were informed the offer was for Virginia residents only, a stipulation that was neither communicated during the initial conversation nor indicated on their website or pass registration form.Upon my request for clarity, I was pointed to their "Terms of Use", which, upon my thorough review, made no mention of this residency requirement. This lack of transparency led to significant inconvenience, confusion, and a sense of being misled. What was even more disconcerting was the handling of this situation by a manager named Matthew. His confrontational and intimidating demeanor was deeply unsettling and displayed a distressing level of unprofessionalism. His unwillingness to provide clear information or address our concerns constructively seriously undermined the principles of respect and courtesy one expects from a service provider. While another manager eventually addressed our concerns and provided clarity, the initial unprofessional and rude treatment left a lasting impression. The situation could have been avoided with proper communication of policies and a respectful approach towards customers. I urge One Life Fitness to consider the necessity of effective customer service training and the importance of clear, transparent policy communication, particularly considering the diverse clientele of Virginia Beach, including numerous military families.I would advise prospective visitors to carefully scrutinize their policies and be prepared for potential unprofessionalism.

DO NOT get a membership here, the cancellation process takes months! Very lackluster and they offer no help or anything, this company doesn’t care about its customers.
