I have never done a negative review before and have multiple friends who are small business owners so I understand the implications and regret that Joe has left me no choice. He refuses to take my son’s calls even though he requested such. He has waited over a week for a return call. I completely understand the policy that the members of the club need to cancel memberships in writing but I didn’t before. I called VP fitness 4 different times asking them to cancel my son’s membership, that he no longer even lived in Providence and NOT once was I told that he needed to cancel in writing or I would have immediately had my son do so! Instead, my credit card continued to be billed $55 per month. It was very clear that my son wasn’t using the membership as evidenced by lack of electronic check ins at the facility and I was calling repeatedly. Joe claims he didn’t hear back when he emailed my son so just continued to bill my card. He refuses to credit my card for even 2 months, my attempt at a compromise.I will be opening a dispute case w my credit card and will pursue other legal options. I am not the member or previous member of VP fitness but I am the credit card holder and have multiple email communications with Joe.Joe, you didn't answer or address any issue/concern, took absolutely no accountability and instead lashes out claiming I have no merit. Anyone reading my review can see my agenda. I had zero aggressive phone calls with anyone at VP fitness, in fact I have never had an aggressive phone call with a business in my life. Sorry to blow up your predictable attempt of spinning any negative review as a character attack on the reviewer as you did in the other recent review from Andrew.

I have been a member of VP Fitness and have worked with Joe for the last 5 months. I have had a great experience working with Joe and the other trainers at VP Fitness, and have greatly enjoyed the atmosphere at the club. The members who workout at VP Fitness all seem to be young, career driven young professionals and college students who value their personal fitness as a complement to their busy career and studies.Over the last five years I have struggled to find the motivation to get my health back and gain the confidence and composure I used to have when I was active and healthy. I tried four different trainers, multiple gyms, and even a new luxury apartment with the gym in the building, and none of these changes worked. It was Joe’s commitment to building a long-term fitness and health plan that really changed my attitude and gave me an opportunity to build a new fitness mentality from the ground up. Additionally, Joe’s enthusiasm and guidance for my activities outside of the training sessions has also been critical component in my improvement. Joe has emphasized that it is imperative to maintain continuous physical activity outside of the training sessions, and these activities need to be catered to your goals and abilities. Joe is also a licensed nutritionist, and his technical expertise regarding your diet outline is outstanding. VP Fitness has an online program setup to track all diets and displays all nutrition facts of your meals. This platform is the key to learning the important factors involving nutrition, as well as recognizing which diet and meal plan is suitable for your needs.I will say that if you joint VP Fitness and enroll in the training program, you need to strive for perfection and continuous improvement, and nothing less. Joe and his training team are always available will answer your questions you and give you the proper guidance and goals to for you to attain, but you are expected to meet and ultimately exceed these physical and nutritional goals every week. Joe will certainly work with you if you cannot obtain your goals for the week, but ultimately, you are expected to follow the plan exactly as outlined by Joe and his training team. Some examples of these goals that are outside of training sessions include – cardio durations, weight training plans outside of sessions, specific daily calorie levels of nutrition, nutrition balances having to do with carbs vs. protein vs fat, water and supplement recommendations, and appropriate timing of exercise and diet.Joe has worked with numerous clients, so he has an intricate knowledge of all types of different clients with respect to age, abilities, genetic health factors, as well as his client’s outside commitments to family, friends, work, etc. He can build an incredibly efficient program that suits the needs of his clients that satisfies all of these criteria. I have notice with my nutrition I am now incredibly efficient in cooking healthy, tasty meals that fulfill my nutrition goals, while still maintaining a balance with family, friends, and work. I am now able to budget my time to fit 3-4 training sessions per week, as well as 6 hours of cardio session that I do on my own.Lastly, I would like to point out that my most important gains have been with my social relationships with family and friends, and my performance at work. I have lost significant weight, look incredibly better, and am much stronger than I used to be over the last five years, but there are so many other factors in life that are not shown on a scale or in a beach photo. Specifically, at work I am better equipped to handle some major decisions and challenges, and I am more able to effectively lead my team to a safe and successful project.I would highly recommend training through Joe and his team at VP Fitness. I look forward to continuing to build my foundation of fitness and healthy living, as well as making improvements in all challenges in life.

VP stays true to their name. I bought a day pass and the cost was totally worth it. They have an extensive aerobic equipment, plenty of different weights, kettle bells, and dumbells for every type of gym preference and body type. I know where I am going to work out when I come back to Providence!

Joe and Stephanie are incredible trainers and really care. I came here looking to get fit again after a couple of stressful months, and they helped me build a healthy, sustainable routine. Thanks to them, I feel so much more confident now - and it's led to me doing so much better, not just physically, but also professionally. I highly recommend this gym and their trainers; I am so grateful to have received their guidance.

Best gym I’ve ever been to! It is very convenient for someone like myself who is always on the go. They offer a variety of snacks (clean) and smoothies to go not to mention how clean this place is at all times (including locker rooms/bathrooms).Most importantly, the environment here is different which makes it easy to look forward to going to the gym.I trained with Joe and in the short weeks I’ve been doing so I’ve never felt so confident like I do now!Price is great for everything offered!

The classes are taught by excellent instructors and are worth every penny. The people who run the gym are very professional and friendly. The place is so clean you can smell the cleaning product when you open the door entering the building. They have been good with COIVD19 making sure people have masks on. The trainers are all very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone who lives in the Providence area small but great. Thank you to the people who keep the gym running and for having amazing people who work there.

In June 2020 I came into VP Fitness and asked for the toughest trainer they had. They told me “You have to work out with the owner Joe” and that was one of the best decisions I ever made. I’ve gained over 25lbs of lean muscle in 7 months and simultaneously lowered my body fat and dramatically increased my overall health and fitness. The experience working out with Joe and the staff at VP has been so inspiring I started on the path to get my own Personal Trainer certification. I would recommend VP to anyone who is serious about changing their body and lifestyle.P.S. It’s the cleanest gym you’ll ever see in your life.

VP Fitness is awesome! They are super clean, always practices covid safety, and the staff is amazing. Joe is a great personal trainer, he not only keeps a great pace while training but helps with what needs to be done outside of the gym such as diet and a good exorcise program. Highly recommend

I started going to VP Fitness about 4 months ago, and wanted to wait before writing a review until I felt like I had a good feel for the gym. After going three to four times a week since then, I cannot recommend this place enough. While the gym is clean, the equipment is new, and the location is easy to get to, what makes this gym stand apart from others is Joe and his staff. All of them are extremely personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely want to help you reach your goals. Through working with Joe and his trainers, I managed to lose 15 lbs. of body fat while at the same time stacking on 10 lbs. of lean mass. They were able to work through a prior injury that I had and were extremely careful to prevent re-injuring it.I think it's also notable that the gym offers many of the small conveniences that often get overlooked. Good sized lockers, clean towels, ample variety of supplements, a sauna, protein rich foods for when you're in a pinch, and even plastic bags to keep your used gym clothes (a gym bag saver). Five stars all day.
