After two years, paying a premium membership, and positive memories ... extremely disappointed in the inability to provide flexibility for members of the military. Turns out it's easier to terminate an apartment lease in Washington DC than a gym membership without penalty.

I had a great workout at this location. The staff was friendly, and the locating was within walking distance from my hotel. I'm from out of town and showed up on a team workout day, and the other OTF members were awesome. I felt very included. And this location had full screen monitors on the treadmill, very nice!

Very disappointed I was looking to join until I went in for my intro class. I drove 35 minutes on my lunch break to make an intro class, on my way I notified them I was running late but still managed to walked in at 11:42am for the 12:00 class. Sarah at the front desk immediately let me know that she had already removed me from class, and proceeded to tell me they need a minimum of 20 minutes and they couldn’t manage it in 18 minutes… as a business owner I would never approach a new customer in this manner. Regardless of offering to reschedule me I will definitely not be returning.

Visited this studio from FL! 10/10! Max was a great coach!

I love the energy of the coaches at OTF Navy Yard. Every time I work out there is a great playlist, a challenging workout, and a welcoming staff! Excited to continue my fitness journey!

All the instructors are great but can we get more variety in music? It’s all edm remixes of pop songs all the way through. Can we get rap, hip hop, r&b, etc.? It just doesn’t to be “white girl” music.

I have enjoyed OTF locations elsewhere but this one was very disappointing. The workout was boring, the trainer disengaged (didn’t give an overview of the class at start time which is standard at other OTF locations, then sped through instructions during the class), the class started over 5 min late and ended 5 min early, and the trainer didn’t bother to correct anyone’s form. As a first time client at this location I’d expect the trainer or receptionist to ask me if I have any injuries, orient me to the space, and try to engage me during class. Instead, neither bothered to even really make eye contact. They also sent me an excessively long, detailed, and buggy online intake form which took me 20 min to submit even when I attempted to ignore most questions. I’m certain they don’t even read these forms or they’d notice it requires you to check all choices under multiple choice questions in order to submit, so responses are useless and a waste of the customer’s time. It appears to be a franchise focused on making money (lots of membership cancellation nightmares reported in these reviews), whose trainers and staff feel no stake in its success. Will not be wasting anymore money on drop-ins here and am just relieved I didn’t become a member.

I typically don’t leave reviews for companies but I was floored with OTF Navy Yard. I’m writing this review because it may help someone making a decision to patronize this business. Let me start by saying initially I was apprehensive because I’m by no means a fitness girl lol. I’m a plus size woman and going by the rumors of the workouts are “super hard core” made it daunting. My first class was amazing. The customer service was elite and I didn’t feel “judged” and I know many people can feel that in gym environments. They take great covid precautions too. The trainer I worked with was Abby. She was awesome and friendly. The front desk staff were also amazing. I plan on starting a membership. If you’re thinking about coming but are unsure definitely do it.

Orange Theory is one of the best workouts I have ever done, hands down. I am not an athlete, and I have really struggled with working out over the years, in fact I kind of hated it. But ever since joining Orange Theory this year that has changed. It is definitely a hard work out, but it is fun, the music is great, I get encouraged but not pressured, and I am getting stronger and running faster than I ever have. I mean, I ran 10 miles per hour the other day! Granted it was only for 30 seconds, but still!! I come from a 30 minute mile, so pretty SLOW, lol. 10 out of 10 for Orange Theory, DEFINITELY!! :-D

I was very apprehensive only because I have never been consistent with class style workouts. Boy, was I wrong! I wish I would have started Orangetheory years ago. I signed up two weeks ago and have been going consistently every two days. I feel amazing after each workout (besides being incredibly sore) and I've probably burned more calories working out in the past two weeks than I have in the past two years. The classes are engaging, motivating, and the coaches are well-versed and easy to talk to. I couldn't recommend Orangetheory more (Navy Yard specifically). Thank you for a renewed motivation to be in the best shape I can be!
