I have been going to Orangetheory for a few months and really enjoy it! The staff are super friendly and helpful. I am very new to fitness so my instructor (I usually have the same person each class) always makes sure to check in on me and help me with my form or answer any questions. Although expensive, I am someone who is easily intimidated and deterred by "regular" gyms so this is worth it me.

I’ve been an otf member for almost two years. I’ve been to a few studios in DC, this location is my favorite. Thank you.

Super clean. Well designed. One of the best layouts I’ve seen in some of the over 40+ studios I’ve seen in traveling. I like the separation of the treads and floor (like a T design). Still feels communal like all studios just not everything shoved into a square and compacted. Restrooms and showers on both sides of the entrance hall. Towel service provided. Nice front entrance area. This studio is definitely one of the larger ones. Feels a bit more upscale.Special shout-out to Chloe (6:00 AM class) as she is an excellent coach. Encouraging throughout that shows she enjoys what she does. Excellent music selection.Only reason I didn’t give this place five stars is they haven’t gone through the equipment refresh but probably due to logistical issues and the waiting list that many studios have dealt with.Highly recommended if you are nearby the Union Station area. NOMA has a feel that it will be the next the place to be given all the development in the area while still holding onto some of the historical charm.

I joined OTF late last year after canceling my membership about 3 years ago. My biggest issue in the past with OTF has been the format, since it's hard for coaches to make sure everyone is doing the exercises correctly, etc. But I have been pleasantly surprised by most coaches from the Union Market location. Everyone from the front desk staff to most of the coaches have been wonderful, friendly, and helpful. I love Kennady, Abby, and Abi. They all take the time to make sure everyone is doing the exercises correctly, encourage people throughout the workout, and are just real pros. The reason I am giving this particular location four stars instead of five stars is due to a new coach who has been given more and more evening classes who is just not good. I was in his first class (ever) and he did not know what he was doing - at one point he thought we all needed to be on the floor at the same time, which caused confusion in the room. He is very nice, but needs a lot more training. I am likely going to cancel my membership if he continues to teach most of the evening classes during the week since I can't take morning classes due to my work schedule, and this limits my options of taking classes with more experienced coaches who do know what they are doing and as a result I get a better, more challenging workout.

The front desk people are too pushy when it comes to selling a membership. You also have to buy one of their heart rate monitors (~$100).Having a gym membership in the city can be very expensive and is very much an investment at these prices. I felt like I was being pressured into spending tons of money before I could fully process how the "free" trial class was. After leaving without a membership I was called every other day for weeks to see if I would sign up for a membership or do another class (at a reduced cost). There are other workout studios in the area that I would recommend trying out instead. Most of them are not pushed as much by corporate to sell sell sell.

Great location with free parking in Union Market. This afternoon I took an amazing class lead by Sharné. Her knowledge of the workouts, energy, and charisma was infectious and motivated the class. Even though this studio isn’t in my neighborhood, I’ll definitely be making the trek over to work out with her again.

Been coming to this OTF location for almost a year. Staff is very amicable - from the trainers to those serving on the front desk - and they take every effort to make you feel comfortable.Regardless of your fitness goals, OTF has been a good way to keep in general shape. I’ve lost weight, gained muscle, and improved my cardio. Trainers are always ready to provide advice or support, from correcting your form to helping you manage discomfort.OTF is an investment into your health, so I feel very happy paying for my membership. I don’t have much free time and it’s been a surefire way to stay healthy during busy periods at school.

Went for only one class so far. Can't rate based on that experience. It was well maintained, instructor was very friendly and helpful, cleaned after every class.

This location opened up earlier this month and I am impressed! The studio is very large and clean and the staff was very friendly when I came in for a workout today.I am a member at another nearby studio and I have been to many other studios around the country. I think this studio may be the nicest one I've been to (probably next to the Columbus studio which was gigantic and luxurious).Coach Brittany is great and super motivating! She has a positive attitude and at one point was cheering someone on who had met a personal goal on the treadmill. The location here can't be beat and it's conveniently located by Union Market and Trader Joe's. I love Orangetheory and can't wait to come back! Welcome to DC!
