Don’t let Professor Almeida’s humility and charm fool you. You see, he never shows off whatsoever but I can assure you he is a BEAST in the jungle. He trains regular people and turn them into machines. We have a few students in class who have attained the following nicknames through Magno Almeida’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu mastery. Here are the nicknames of some of our Members: T-1000, Polar Bear, Spider Monkey, TK (The Killer), CK (Chinese Killer), Chef, Rochi (Dragon Ball Z), Savage, Wolverine, Titanium, Grizzly Bear, etc the list goes on. I’ve been to over 12 different BJJ schools nationwide including the big chains like Gracie Barrra and 10th Planet and I will assure you, Magno Almeida is the truth. I can vouch for him a trillion times. If you still aren’t a believer come and talk to me, I’m Dong Shin one of his students. Jiu Jitsu makes me fear no one but God.

I’ve been training here for the past 10 years. I am fortunate to have found this gym at the beginning. We have cultivated such high level Jiujitsu and self defense. I personally have tried and tested my skills in competition and many different places. Magno is a great, Coach/Professor, mentor, friend and father who represents this martial art to the fullest, truly world class. This gym have been using the Gracie Gym brand without consent for years, I have been asking Magno to remove the Gracie gym name. Not only that but he also uses his own brand with the Gracie gym brand. He is not part of the Gracie Gym family or team. Gracie Gym have no association with him. He needs to cease using this brand immediately!

I've always been into fitness, but starting the BJJ journey here with Magno has been the best decision for my health and fitness I have ever made. Family envirinment vibes with a healthy competitive spirit, with amazing technique instruction. Besides the physical strength, this gym has also given me mental strength. You definitely will love this gym!

We have been with Magno for 3 years and plan on staying for the long haul. He is AMAZING with kids because he is so patient, yet tough enough to make them work to their best ability. The parents are all friendly and the kids are fun-loving and cooperative. Gracie Gym is our second home.

One of the best places to train.. It's a family environment. Magno is an excellent coach. He took my son to world's and placed him in 1st... I would recommend this academy to anyone..

I have been going to this gym for about 5 months. I've been welcomed as a brother and have made many friends. Professor Magno Almeida is knowledgeable, knows how to motivate people, and great with children. I have gotten into great shape and can now protect myself and my family. 5 stars is not enough.

Professor Magno Almeida genuinely cares for his students and has great patience. The overall vibe of the people there is very warm welcoming, they want to help the lower belt/new people at the gym. Great learning environment for the art. I am talking about the adult classes, the kids classes look like they are all learning and having a great time as well. Highly recommend this place to learn for all age groups.

Professor Magno is a great guy who genuinely cares about his students. Very positive learning environment. When you become his student, he becomes your brother for life.

Excellent kids program. My son has grown so much in the last year of training here. Great family atmosphere with all parents during the kids classes.
