Fit4life Health Clubs - Wilmington Shipyard

We have been trying for months to cancel my sons membership (he’s been going for years, so not trying to get out of a contract early). They keep giving him the run around and continue to charge our credit card. He’s been into the gym twice and spoke with them over the phone. We have stopped payment on the credit card, yet they continue to call and tell him he still owes for the last couple of months. It shouldn’t be this hard to quit a gym!

Pros:1. kids zone (The girls that monitor the kids are so sweet)2. 24 hours3. location4. Staff has changed and is getting better. The manager TJ is awesome !Cons:1. You’re not educated that you’re in a contract for 12 months. (personal training or basic gym membership)2. Not the cleanliest (Machines could use a good wipe down and floors cleaned).

Absolutely disgusted with how this place has handled my cancellation after receiving active duty deployment orders.I was a member here between 2022 and 2023 with a month-to-month membership which “could be cancelled at any time for any reason”, until Feb 2023 when I received orders to deploy. I handed a hard certified copy of my orders to one of their front desk attendants, who said it would be taken care of. I deployed three days after and obviously never went back. Now on July 2023, a balance of over $400 is showing on my credit report from a third party collection agency who is attempting to collect a debt on behalf of Fit4life’s payment processing firm - Peek Payment Solutions.I’ve been in contact with all parties involved including management from this place and not a damn thing has been done. My perfect credit score has been ruined due to negligence and complete lack of training on this gym’s staff.At this point my only available avenue is to file a lawsuit against them. Update to follow.Notwithstanding the above, don’t waste your money in this place. 90% of their members are disrespectful high school kids who are constantly on your way and taking up equipment while on their cell phones or taking videos. The place is filthy from one end to the other, with disgusting bathrooms and balls of hair and dust all throughout the gym floor. My wife and I were members for just about a year and were there every single day at different hours. Not once did we see their staff clean a damn thing. They all hang out at the front on their phones completely careless of their surroundings.What an awful experience which unfortunately did not end on my last visit here.

TJ and the rest of the staff have been phenomenal. The gym is well-equipped and clean, and I've been able to complete my workouts with no issues at different times of day. Very pleased being a member here.

I have had a great experience from the day I called and inquired about a membership. T.J. was knowledgeable and a pleasure on the phone. When I arrived I was on limited time, he went above and beyond to answer all my questions and concerns and being an old Gold's member, I immediately felt like I was home. Everytime I arrive and leave I am greeted by a team member. The classes are great and I absolutely love the instructors. I am so happy I found a great gym!

A gym with amazing amenities and incredible staff to match. I was beyond impressed by the guest service and care the staff at this facility offers. If you are considering joining a gym, I highly recommend looking into Fit4life - Wilmington Shipyard.I called over the phone to inquire about a membership and it was the easiest process. They talked me through their contract, services, and offered to set me up with a time to speak with one of their trainers. As always, gyms can be intimidating, but their staff offers conversation that allow you to feel comfortable and welcome.I scheduled an intro appointment with Chloe. I cannot begin to describe how impressed I was with her as a person, trainer, and manager. Before my appointment, I was running late due to a work event, but Chloe reached out and allowed me to be flexible with my arrival time. When I arrived, she greeted me, gave me an overview of the facilities, and we had a discussion about my health and fitness goals. This discussion was informative and Chloe provided amazing insight as well as plans for achieving the goals I have for myself. She walked me through a couple of mobility tests and talked to me more about the areas I could focus on improving. This conversation was friendly, enjoyable, and I will be recommending my friends meet with her to discuss their fitness goals.Overall, I cannot express how impressed I am with Fit4life - Wilmington Shipyard. If you're considering taking a step in your fitness journey or changing your fitness routine, I highly recommend looking into their facility and meeting with one of their trainers (definitely Chloe!). The care and kindness they put into their guest service puts them a step above other fitness facilities in the Wilmington area.

In town for a beach visit. Great atmosphere and a selection of well known equipment brands. 10/10 would make this my home gym if I lived here.

I was originally apart of the TruFit fitness team back in 2020 and while I loved that gym it is truly amazing to see what the owners of Fit4Life have done for this gym. The atmosphere is unbeatable at every location and it’s always nice to be greeted by such friendly faces when walking into the gym.The equipment is extremely advanced and very easy for beginners, they have several of everything so you’re not consistently waiting on someone to finish up with equipment.The yoga room and saunas are also top tier!!This is easily one of the best gyms I have ever been apart of and I look forward to my future workouts with Fit4Life.

I started back at the gym over two months ago. I am so happy here, the staff is nice and friendly. The establishment and equipment is clean and ready to use. I have an amazing trainer. She helps encourage me while doing sets and makes sure my form is right. Even asking me about my eating habits weekly and is always helpful with advice on anything.

I moved here in January and came across this gym after doing some research. I was impressed with the facility and felt so welcomed by the staff. Needless to say I’m extremely pleased and I now look forward to going to the gym. Everyone is friendly, there’s a great variety of equipment, and I no longer have gym anxiety at all. I took the extra step to invest in myself and I do personal training sessions with Shianne! She’s awesome and has personalized my nutrition and workout plans to my goals. If you are considering Fit4Life, it is well worth it!!
