I signed up for the 200 Hour Teacher Training Program with Longwave Yoga in 2022. It's a 6 month program that cost $3,000. Training was scheduled for April - Sept. In June, unfortunately I had to stop going to the classes because my mom was really sick and I became her primary caretaker. I talked with the owner (Amanda) about what my options were. If possible I wanted to continue to do the work from home and still stay on track to graduate in September. Amanda (the owner) told me there were a required amount of in-person contact hours which she knew were hard for me at the time but I would need to graduate and I could schedule private lessons with the lead trainers at a later date. So for the next five months I worked alone at my house and never heard from anyone at the studio other than the confirmation emails that they'd received my monthly payments. Then when I emailed the lead trainers to schedule the private lessons, Amanda (the owner) said it would cost me $100 per hour for 158 contact hours, totaling $15,800. I explained that I should not have to pay more money because when Amanda and I had talked about the in-person contact hours previously she never said it would cost me more money. When I first found out about my mom’s diagnosis it was June, and at that time I had only paid $1,500 into the program. I could have stopped paying right then but after talking with Amanda, I continued to make payments of $500 every month trusting her word that I could finish the program at a later date. Amanda completely mislead me. She told me I could schedule private lessons not once mentioning that it would cost me more money. Sadly after doing all the work at home, and paying $3,000, I still don’t have my 200 Hour Yoga Certificate.

I attended Prenatal Yoga with Kristen on Sundays throughout pregnancy and this made ALL the difference! Aches and pains felt like night and day before and after class. Kristen creates a strong class community with sharing at the start of class, ensures to address individual areas of concern and educates about the pelvic floor. I always left feeling so relaxed. I cannot recommend enough and can't wait to go back for postnatal and baby and me classes!

Beautiful studio, welcoming community, and amazing instructors. They encourage practicing what feels right in your body and offer modifications as well as challenges. They also sell Jade mats, which is my personal favorite brand. Everything you need in a studio, no matter where you are in your practice. Easy to follow direction if you’re a newbie. So glad I dropped in!
