Solid gym. High quality instruction, great talent, competitive environment, humble grapplers. If you live in the Wilmington area, I highly recommend that you train at Salty Dog. If you don't live there, I highly recommend that you visit to train there.

I joined this gym two weeks ago with 0 experience in Jiu Jitsu. Everyone there has welcomed me with open arms and it has been a great experience thus far. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Started in June of last year! John has made it easy to want to keep coming back to the gym. I’ve met nothing but hard working and respectful athletes at Salty Dog. I highly recommend everyone at any level to stop by.

Great gym with real, quality technique and instruction. Haven't been able to continue to train due to personal issues, but highly recommended!

Dropped in with a friend that trains here on a Sat open mat. I've been to quite a few BJJ academies over the years, and you get a different vibe at each one. Salty Dog was full off "game" training partners of various skillsets and abilities. Everyone was cool and welcoming, but ready to work. Had a great experience, and will be sure to come back the next time I'm in Wilmington.
