Team JBM - Martial Arts & Fitness

My daughters attend here (ages 6. & 8). Instructor Zach and Instructor Ryan are great with the kids. My daughters enjoy class and have made friends. Since joining last September they are substantially stronger, faster, more confident. I highly recommend.

I spent almost a year here. Once Covid hit, I was still being charged for 2 months with no lessons or anything. Now I compare it to the gym I am currently at and see that the competition is nowhere near the same caliber. It’s pretty expensive compared to other schools as well. Mostly everyone I met there are good people, but when someone wasn’t respectful or had an issue it was handled by kicking them out instead of showing them why they were wrong.

JBM is hands down the best place to train in Wilmington with both Jujitsu and Muay thai classes . The gym has the best coaches and huge mat space. I wouldn't train anywhere else. Also they keep the mats very clean and wash them after every use.

Matt & the team are amazing martial artists and I've learned so much. My #1 spot to train - great fitness workouts and classes too for people who need a solid training program. Very nice facility - best in Wilmington.

Team JBM is among one of the fun most warm, welcoming places to train in martial arts. It may seem odd to count a Jiu-Jitsu gym as welcoming. However Matt's dedication and love for his craft makes him an excellent instructor for beginners or experienced competitors. The team boast flexibility between self defense strength and agility training, competition styles and group classes available. JBM is also veteran friendly environment that provides the camaraderie that so many vets miss after leaving the service.

Our whole family trains here. My wife, daughter and son and myself. It is a very clean environment and Coach Matt is great with children. Jiu Jitsu is a great work out and much more fun than a boring gym membership. I recommend Team JBM to anyone regardless of age.

I grew up going to different martial arts gyms and this is definitely the best one I have joined in my 20 years. Coach cares about training you to be the best that you can, everyone is supportive, and it really feels like a team. When I started I lost a lot of weight in just a couple of months. Join the gym, you won't regret it.

Great school. No frills needed. Great coaches that clearly love what they do. Will take the time to show you how to do the technique properly. Very safe environment, safety is always paramount and stressed to all students. Great for more advanced BJJ practitioners as well. Also has striking classes with great experienced coaches as well. Lots of fun and a great skill to learn for self defense, competition, or just for fun

My son loves the kid's classes at JBM! He enjoys the fun atmosphere, but also learns so much from the coaches and more advanced students. The team environment lends itself to a very family-like feel, where everyone cares about all of the kids. The adult students will get out on the mats to help the coaches instruct the kids so that each child gets as much attention as possible while learning new techniques. It is a great team, with great leadership. I am so glad that we chose JBM.

I love it here. Great coaches, great team mates, and great instruction. If you are thinking of trying jiu jitsu then I highly recommend coming in for a free trial class and seeing for yourself how great the gym is. There are many classes throughout the week to accommodate for anyones schedule, including two womeons only classes. There is a great family atmosphere, and you and definitely tell that the coaches care about you as individuals, rather than just another student on the books. 100% best Jiu Jitsy academy in Wilmington.
