I’ve tried different gyms in Wilmington and JJI is without a doubt the best, most technical, and safest jiu jitsu in the area. Family-friendly environment with a great range of belts and ages. The owner, Gil, is extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher for both kids and adults.

If you are looking for real deal technical Jiu Jitsu then professor Gil whose a seasoned AOJ black is the best in town. There kid’s program is phenomenal and it’s a great place to train as a family. Would highly recommend!

A fantastic gym with high-quality instruction and welcoming environment!!! Not to mention super clean. I’ve trained from Florida to Alaska to Hawaii for about seven years, and have experienced all types of gyms, this one one ranks up there… I highly recommend training here.

JJI is the Wilmington BJJ Boutique. The facility is very chic, spacious and clean. The head instructor sets a relaxed atmosphere for practitioners to develop and express their game.

The Jiu Jitsu institute is an amazing place to train. Gil is an incredibly talented instructor/professor, with an attention to detail that is second to none. He runs a very clean and safe school for everyone at all levels to learn, progress, and enjoy! If you are looking for a school in the WIlmington area definitely stop by and check out The JJI! Your only regret will be that you didn’t start sooner.
