Super clean and friendly! I started my fitness journey in this very gym. Walking in without a lot of knowledge was a little intimidating, but Jason and his staff were very helpful in explaining the equipment, and made me feel right at home.It was always an upbeat, and positive experience! Great gym with lots of equipment for your swole needs. People in this gym are there to work and not sit around on their phones. Love the vibes from all the posters and motivational items spread throughout the gym. A must visit when in the area for a good pump!!

I came to Akron to visit my family for a couple weeks, and needed a gym to keep it going. I called American Muscle and Fitness and they didn’t hesitate to have me use their facility. They treated me like a regular, and I got plugged in that day. Plenty of equipment available, and all of it is quality and well kept. Honestly I hate that I can’t have this exact gym in my current hometown. Jason and the staff are great peoples(shoutout to Sam for always being available and helpful). Don’t hesitate to make this your everyday gym.

Such a great local gym here in portage lakes! Good equipment, locker rooms with shower, clean facility, and everything you need to make the most of your workout! The staff and owner are super nice and very welcoming to current and new members!

Wanted to start getting myself in shape. when I walked in there was no one at the desk. I waited five minutes. No one came to help me and a guy walking around picking up towels looked at me and wouldn’t say a word. Guess I’m not good enough to be a customer there.

I love this gym. The staff is very friendly, and it’s super clean. Great equipment, and they recently moved the heavy dumbbells to the top rack. Highly recommend.
