My son has his therapy there. I love that they allow an outside company use the pool but the fact that he can't use their stuff is kind of a bummer.

I have reached out to a manager sheyenne over the phone, I tried to call over 10 times on different occasion different times , they forwarded to her office and it was always voicemail even tho they said she was in at the time , so I decided to go into the club , the girl at the front said she was in the club but they didn’t know where and that’s somebody else was already looking for her previously and couldn’t find her , she gave me a card to email her , after multiple voicemails that I had left to call me back and left my number I sent her an email asking for a call back and she didn’t even have the decency to do that. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, my question wasn’t about membership but I was considering to get one for my family but I will definitely not be getting a membership now .

The Alaska Club Valley has some of the best and positive staff i've ever came across. It offers a wide variety of amenities and if anything is broken their engineer makes sure it's attended to efficiently. I appreciate the constant positive greeting every day I walk in and even when they're over loaded at the front desk they make sure everybody is heard and looked after with a smile on their face.

I love this place, I've been a member for years and it is like my second home, all the staff are excellent and has a family friendly vibe to it. Sheyenne and Jared are the best.

Definitely not one of their cleanliest clubs. You can tell in the little details how they don’t care about the Wasilla customer as much as south anchorage. Such as, in the women’s bathroom there are three sinks but only two soap dispensers. In the South club not only do they have enough hand soap but also offer lotion, tissues and feminine products. But that is just a small issue when compared to how the company doesn’t take care of their employees or offer a good living wage. For as much as I pay I wish they did better.Saying all that this is still a much better option than Planet Fitness.

We have had the Alaska Club membership well over a year now. It was good for a while but the cost of $170/month for just my wife and I was too much to justify for another year so we decided to cancel our membership. This is where it went south…We called a week before our next billing cycle and asked to cancel our membership but they refused. They said they needed at least 30 days notice before billing to cancel the membership so we must pay another $170.00 and have the membership for another month. After going back and forth for a while we begrudgingly agreed to this. A month later I notice another charge go through even through we haven’t made it into the club once. After a long phone call we are informed that we need to have a formal cancellation a month ahead of billing via phone AND need to confirm this via email! I can’t believe such business practices are committed by local companies like this…I am extremely disappointed they treated us like this after paying them in total $3,060.00 over 18 month. Horrible way to treat people. We will never recommend them to anyone and will do my best to make sure the word gets out about them.

The Alaska Club in Wasilla has great facilities and options for basic monthly fee: gym, a lot of group trainings, family gym, pool, dry sauna and steam room (both separate for men and women), hot tube, changing room (you just need your own locker), showers, towels. If you pay more, you have even more perks. The club is well maintained. The schedule of group classes is very convenient, you can choose whether to join in the morning or in the evening. There is a lot of different equipment in the gym, you can work on every muscle.Instructors in group classes are professional and supportive. They motivate you to be better than yesterday. The atmosphere at each class is very warm and welcoming. I have visited the majority of group classes and I like all of them.Wonderful staff working at the reception, your good mood starts when you pass them. Great cleaning staff, all rooms and facilities in the club are always clean. And of course wonderful people who come and train there! I am happy to be part of this community now.Highly recommend the Club in Wasilla, it's absolutely worth coming there!

I like the equipment and the classes. I love the pool, the suana, and steam room. I dislike that those amenities are not available after hours. I hate how dirty this gym is. There is mold in the women's locker room. There is always dirt everywhere. For how much I'm paying they could be doing a lot better.

The Alaska Club has struggled since I've been a member off and on over the last five years. They've struggled with maintenance issues, equipment issues, staffing issues and cleaning. In the last couple months the situation at the gym has improved greatly because of the new manager. The conditions at the gym are improving, cleaning is being done regularly and the maintenance crew seems to be busy. Although the roof leaking is still an ongoing and frustrating thing.Recently we have decided to cancel our Alaska club and move to a different cheaper gym. With inflation taking off and the cost of living skyrocketing, the AK Club really needs to assess their membership structure. If there was an option for individuals or couples to pay less to just use the exercise areas, that would be perfect. But for us it seems silly to continue to pay for a massive AK Club membership bill that covers amenities we aren't using.Long story short when you walk in this place paying $160 or more and month you don't see that value. The club is improving but their membership pricing structure will eventually drive at least some of their locations to continue to close. And I imagine eventually they'll be priced completely out of the market.
