This is for sure the most complete martial art academy in the Fox valley. Mr. Soto and Mr. Lindengerg are the finest instructors that your money can buy. I've had experiences with Mr. Soto for at least 20 years and I know first hand he is the best.

Glad we were recommend here! Mr. Soto & Mr Lindenberg are full of positive energy. Communication is excellent! Also Mr. Soto is very particular about consent before uploading photos online (big plus). Great place for any and all!

When my nine year old daughter had the opportunity to enjoy a birthday party at the Academy, little did I realize her life was going to change. Soon after she joined SMAA, where her skills have developed and her attitude has started to change. The instructors are so engaging and really show their passion for karate and love for helping others strive in it too. I've witnessed other classes elsewhere, but here is so unique. It's making a difference in my daughter's life, physically, mentally and emotionally.

I highly recommend SMAA. My Son always looks forward to attending his classes. Mr. Soto is patient, caring, and knowledgeable when it comes to teaching kids. I've notice my Son has calmed down and has better listening skills since joining.

My boys have already learned a lot through karate here so far. We are thoroughly impressed at the dedication we’ve seen instilled in them and the growth since starting.

Soto’s Martial Arts is a fantastic academy and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in Martial Arts. Watching my grandson’s attend and grow in their martial Arts journey and growing into their teenage years. The academy teaches Teamwork, Positive Attitude along with not giving up.

I visited a few martial art centers before selecting SOTO'S. What set SOTO'S apart was his communication and making my son feel welcomed from the minute we arrived. My son and I sat through 2 classes prior to enrolling him. (He's 4 years old) I could tell that this was a great place. The kids were having fun well staying disciplined. I would strongly recommend completing the trial class.

Mr. Soto is an excellent teacher for both Karate and teaching our kids how to deal with situations that come up in life. We have three children attending SMA and they love it.

The beginning of my son's classes have been too extraordinary, since you arrive at the place everyone welcomes you very well, the classes and the respect of the teacher towards the children is to be admired.I know that little by little my son will have what I am looking for in him and that is Discipline. I am very happy to belong to this SMA association

The deciding factor to chose Mr. Soto’s dojo was during the one on one evaluation. First off, this happens before a child is even introduced to the class. It’s to make them feel comfortable and ensure it’s a right fit. Mr. Soto talks in more detail about the program during this time too. While explaining how the tora program works, Mr. Soto was hyping up his students. He showed the same enthusiasm and compassion for all his students equally that I didn’t even realize one was related to him until he told me at the end of the conservation. That sold it for me.I’ve witnessed children really come out of their shells. SMAA brings a small close knit community vibe to karate. Everyone is approachable and excited to watch your child grow just as much as you are.
