CrossFit Golden

"Build Excellence and the Market Will Come to Us!" These guys did it. I have been a member of 6 different XFit boxes over the years, and this is the best overall experience I have had. Highly trained coaches, more classes, better organization, an abundance of equipment, plenty of space, and and open gym on the side. Lots of fine people in a genuinely good community.

This gym has a solid amount of five star reviews but all are lacking one of the most important aspects of this gym...unrivaled TP. The toilet paper is absolute fire. This.is.not.a.joke. There is a reason that Cory, a dedicated 4:30AM member, gets to the gym extra early every morning to ensure he is as light as possible before the WOD. Hats off to you CrossFit Golden and keep providing your members with the softest most plush toilet paper. Our bottoms will thank you for it.

CrossFit Golden is my favorite CrossFit gym out of many I’ve trained with across the country. They’re organized, attentive, and the workouts have never ending variety. The gym is huge and they have every piece of equipment you could ever dream of meticulously organized. The team could not be more professional.

What has impressed me the most is they put a lot of thought into their programming. It’s “constantly varied” yet there is a pattern of appropriate progressive overload. It’s not random movements just thrown out there to completely crush every compound movement every day like I’ve seen at other gyms (it is still challenging). Any criticism of CrossFit you’ve read about doesn’t really apply here because the coaches are smart.As a beginner, the coaches can pretty quickly assess where you’re at and will keep you from getting injured if you just listen to them and check your ego.And bonus, it’s not douchey or cringey at all. Everybody is welcome. I checked out a few gyms and this one stuck.

I have to give CrossFit Golden a negative review. I started out as a guaranteed customer, willing to give them my money without them having to do anything. But they decided to reject me and get me to walk away and look elsewhere. They were immediately difficult to work with, were unusually poor at communicating, could not fulfill the most basic requests, talked down to me, and made me feel unwanted. Was I dealing with trainers or lawyers here? I write this as someone who has enjoying doing CrossFit training for more than two years.

CrossFit Golden is by far one of the best CrossFit gyms I’ve been to. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They take the time to show you how the movements are done correctly, and they always offer accommodations. I did their Boot Camp workouts (M-F), and for the short amount of time I was there, I noticed a vast improvement in my uphill times. I felt super strong when mountain biking and even broke some of my own PRs. 🚴🏻‍♀️🤘🏼

I dropped in for a 4:30am class during an overnight stay from Kansas City. Coach Lucas welcomed me and got me set up with a waiver and a pretty good deal with buying a t-shirt for payment towards the workout. The 4:30 am crew were friendly and made me feel welcomed. I love the CrossFit community! Thanks CFG for the hospitality!

You would have a hard time finding a cleaner, better spec'd facility in Colorado. If you're into CrossFit, you'll find friendly coaching and great programming. If you're into lifting, you'll find a STOCKED open gym area with all the accessories. Constant upgrades and maintenance every month are the norm. Great social calendar with events outside the gym.If more gym-owners took pride in their space like Greg and crew, the world would be a fitter place!

Golden Crossfit is Golden !!I was sitting down eating my third bowl of Spicy Yak Stew The Sherpa House in Golden when I overheard at the table beside me two Gentlemen talking about WODS and Pull-ups. I asked them if they were from a local Crossfit Box and low and behold, yes they were and they told me I had to check out Crossfit Golden! I grabbed my friend ‘Bill from Texas’ who used to work out at Steelmonkey CrossFit in Columbus, MS and headed over to the BOX.I was amazed at the space and how highly organized the layout and the equipment was. Everything I needed was neatly placed in the appropriate areas. My colleague jumped in on the DailyWod and I headed over the racks to do work on Squats and Deadlifts with Olympic Weights !! The staff and the members treated us like family at this outstanding box. If you’re ever in Golden Colorado you gotta stop in for a drop in!! Awesome people and DeathByWOD await you!! This is a very well-coached box so be on point and don’t disappoint!!!

My wife and I are in Golden for a week and have dropped in on two different classes. We have met Greg (owner), Lacey (head trainer), Kole (trainer) and many of the members. We were welcomed into the gym and felt very comfortable. We have been doing CrossFit for over seven years and I have been a Level One trainer for two and one half years. CrossFit Golden’s programming was high quality and well organized. The gym is very spacious and very clean. There was plenty of equipment and everything anyone would need for doing a CrossFit workout. I highly recommend the gym whether you’re looking for a place to start your CrossFit experience or a place to drop in on your travels. Thanks again to Greg and the staff. We will drop in again when we come back to Colorado.
