I love AYC with the variety of classes and affordable prices. One criticism I have is from my last Friday class when the instructor went 45 minutes over the class time. It was way too long, especially for people who had planned to stop by a grocery store before it closed and who were commuting by bicycle. The instructor should respect the time limit of each class and end the class on time. I usually have a good experience at AYC, except last Friday evening's class, in which the instructor went too long and went off their teaching topic. In general, this place is a wonderful space for the community.

The way the studio is run is disrespectful to poor people and caregivers who don't have extra time to sit around in a loud classroom to guarantee your spot in the class that you already paid for and registered for online. It takes too much away from any sincerity in the yoga. The staff cater to tourists and groupon customers, at the direct detriment to locals. This studio has a weird commitment to letting men put their mats down before signing in at the desk. Did these dudes register and pay? Weird business model.

I was able to dabble into a few classes here during my time in Asheville and really appreciate the serenity I experienced. The yoga instructors are passionate, warm and enthusiastically engaging. The yoga rooms and washroom were always clean and peaceful. Great intro deal via Groupon! Namaste 🪷 …

Thank you, Richard, who led the intro to yoga session. Being a novice with yoga, I was anxious about the class, but he was welcoming and informative. The small class size was a help for corrections to form as well as conversations around what type of classes with which I should start. I highly recommend this intro class if you’ve ever been nervous about attending a yoga session.I am actually excited and less intimidated to try my two classes I registered for next week even though I know there is still a big learning curve for me!

I have been yog-ing for over 20 years now but It's been well over a year since I attended any type of class, last night I went in for flow and yin with Maive, it was very well executed and immensely therapeutic. I'm really glad I went in ,despite my reservations, I think I'll go back when time permits.

The classes at AYC are good, but it’s not a very secure facility. My North Face jacket was stolen (perhaps by mistake?) during a yoga class, and the team at AYC hasn’t been helpful with trying to track it down. I am still going to classes there, but I’ve started leaving my belongings in the car, not storing anything in the open lockers and/or bringing my items into class with me.

Mediocre at best. Pretentious overpriced n poor instruction for the most part. Instructors tend to talk on endlessly about themselves n their pseudo spiritual theories instead of the physics of the poses.Look elsewhere
