This studio has been such a game changer for me mentally. I have been going off and on for years and each time I come back to this practice, I kick myself for not committing the time. The instructors are encouraging in that they want you to feel confidence where ever you are in your practice, yet challenge you to be the best YOU! The space is super clean, the class offerings have really expanded and so I can get in at a time that works with my every changing schedule and in a new class if I want to do something other than the Hot 26, which is really fun since I like Vinyasa flow classes. Grateful for all of the teachers and what the studio brings to the community and to me.

Hot Yoga… Cool People… Cold Lavender towels!I’ve never been one of those people who has been regular with any type of exercise. In fact, I pretty much dread the idea of going to a gym or yoga class. However, I noticed something very interesting about Hot Yoga Asheville’s: Hot 26 yoga classes: The class flies by. 90 minutes in a hot room doing yoga goes by faster than 45 minutes at the Y working out on the elliptical and rowing machine. How can that possibly be??? The room is hot, I’m dripping sweat and I’m highly unmotivated when it comes to exercising. Yet, at then end of class I feel like I’ve just had the best spa treatment ever.It think the reason why boils down to a few key reasons. The people: The staff is warm, kind and supportive. The students are diverse in their fitness levels, age and backgrounds. The space: The studio is beautiful, clean and well organized. It’s obvious a lot of thought and care went in to designing the space right down to the staggered Zebra tile flooring allows you to have an eye line to the mirror when classes are full. The Type of Yoga: 26 postures with rest in between. It’s like an interval workout is snuck into your yoga practice and you barely notice it as you systematically and gently address every area of the body. The Cold Lavender Towels: This is the single greatest idea ever!! As you lie on the floor taking your final rest you are handed a cold lavender towel. For me, this moment magically transforms all the effort, focus and sweat expended over the last 90 minutes into a rejuvenating spa treatment.

The studio is immaculate. The classes are exceptional, providing every student with a challenge to their own ability. There are so many classes every day to choose from, that regardless of your schedule, there is a class to find. And at Hot Yoga Asheville, it really is HOT! I love to get my sweat on.

I just joined. This yoga studio is one of the best I've ever been to (and I'm an experienced yogi that's practiced all over the country). Seriously, I did two classes my first day of membership because it was that good. The instructors really know what they're stuff and they are super friendly. I definitely will be coming back.

The studio is special for the varying styles of yoga they offer and the way instructors know how to inspire and encourage. From the absolute newbie to the pretzel yogi we all support each other. Not to mention the studio and showers are very clean and well kept.

6/6/2015I have been doing the bikram method of hot yoga for about 8 years now. I have had an opportunity to practice this amazing sequence of postures in many cities, and even in several different countries. I can say that the Asheville Hot Yoga studio is hands down the best I have ever attended. The studio itself is immaculate. The flooring in the studio is top of the line "zebra flooring", which is a dense, hygienic polymer that can be cleaned in between each class (unlike many yoga carpeted studios where the sweat soaks in and stays...yuck!!) The environment in the room is maintained by far infrared heating panels and a humidifier (when necessary) and all of the instructors pay constant attention to the ambient conditions, responding immediately to provide the optimum working environment for the class. The room is also equipt with a CO2 detector that responds to increases in carbon dioxide in the room by automatically brining in warmed, fresh air from the outside. The BEST part of the whole Bikram experience is hands down the PEOPLE...the instructors are highly trained and while the sequence and dialogue are pre scripted, the personality each instructor brings to the class are entirely unique, making for a different experience each time. You might think that doing the same 26 postures at each practice would become boring and routine. For me, however, this sequence provides me with a touchstone: an unchanging benchmark to measure how my mind, body, and spirit are doing on any giving day. The challenge never ends. The studio also now offers additional forms of yoga...the hot flow classes, and the bikram advanced series. With the addition of the new practice room next door, even more styles will be offered in the very near future.I am grateful to Adi and the staff at Hot yoga Asheville for keeping me feeling, acting, and looking good all these years!!
