Service us outstanding at Fitness @Five!!

Nice owners, good equipment, and not too busy, but on the pricey side in the Athens area.

Solid equipment, nice amenities, very pleasant staff, and I've yet to see it crowded, despite going at several different times of day that I would expect to be busiest.

Always clean, usually not too busy, affordable rates, and owners are friendly. Maybe not the best for powerlifting, as the owners will scold you for deadlifting heavy or using chalk, but even their scolding is fairly friendly. They could use another squat rack, but it seems like most people here are just paying for cardio machines. The worst thing is the parking lot - it's often crowded and the spaces seem too small.

I don’t have a membership, but I have trained with a trainer here for a little over a year....maybe 2. Idk it’s been on and off. The place is nice and the people seem nice for what little interaction I’ve had with them. I’ve stayed here cause I really like my trainer.I would get a membership if the training room was open for regular clients to use the punching bags as that’s really all Im there for. Showers also could use better ventilation and in the past they have had a water mold smell due to the rugs they put in there, but it’s not always like that and I never feel like the showers haven’t been cleaned.

Fitness at Five is clean, affordable ($39-49 a month, with no bogus "activation" or "sign up" fees), has all the main equipment you could need (bench press, power rack, dumbbells up to 100 lbs, strength machines, ellipticals, treadmills--though I wish they had the tree of ez curling bars you often see at other gyms though) and none of the gimmicks or shadiness often found in the gym industry. I've never had to deal with nonsensical fees, high pressure sales pitches ("sign up now and I can give you X% off but after today the deal ends"), continuing to be charged after I ended my membership, etc. 24 hour access is a big plus too, and the showers are nice and clean.Ben and Giselle seem like honest people who want to run an honest gym, which is sadly far too rare these days. I'll always choose Fitness @ Five over the big box gyms in Athens!

Honestly some of the friendliest gym staff I've ever encountered. Great little place and fair pricing. Never too crowded. But what really stands out is how clean, organized, and put together it is. Equipment is maintained very well and patrons and staff are all polite.
