Ramsey student center is an Olympic games level sports center with all kinds of facilities - one of the best in the country. Especially notable are the its swimming pools and diving pool. Several events took place here during the 1996 Olympic games. The suroundings of the Ramsey center has plush grasses and winding walk ways. It is very pleasant and relaxing to walk around there. Do not confuse this place with the Tate Center which is far from the South here on the North side and is an ugly place.

It’s an excellent sports facility. They have pretty much everything you need to work out, and people working here are always super nice! I really enjoy being part of Ramsey’s member people!

Top notch student center, I was visiting to officiate a college club volleyball tournament. One thing I will say, they need more restrooms, especially in the main entrance area at the gym level.

This is an update to my 2020 review. As UGA continues to grow, more people are utilizing equipment, and Ramsey is in serious need of more space. Particularly in regards to flat benches, deadlift platforms, and squat racks. 5 deadlift platforms for a university with 30,000+ students and staff is not sufficient.

It's nice to have a gym to go to, and it does have lots of equipment, most of everything I need. The problem is, no matter how I try to work the gym into my schedule, the weight rooms are always overwhelmingly crowded. I'm talking like I have to wait ten minutes for the bench or fifteen for deadlift after a warmup. It's frustrating trying to effectively workout when nothing is open ever. Ramsay just needs more volume I think.
