I have two sons that train BJJ at John's gym and they love it here. They both have learned so much since starting. They have grown both as grapplers and individuals. The coaches are very knowledgeable, great mentors and always willing to help. The gym is very clean, spacious and overall a great environment to train. The teammates are very positive, supportive and we have had a wonderful experience here.

I came into John's Gym a year ago on a curiosity. Brazilian jiu jitsu interested me as a different way to work out and get back in shape while learning something new. I got HOOKED immediately. BJJ is amazingly addictive, and John's Gym is the perfect place to learn it. I wasn't sure what to expect as far as the vibe at a "fight gym". I worried it might be intimidating. Those worries were unfounded. It is welcoming and even familial atmosphere. The coaches are all great. My favorite are the weekday noon sessions taught by John himself.I'm amazed at how much I have learned one year in. As well, I have dropped 30 lbs! As of three weeks ago, my fiance has joined me in training. She heard me rave about it for long enough and had to try. She is hooked now, too!If you're considering it, then it a try, you won't regret it. Highly recommended.

I’ve been training at John’s for 4 months and have seen a crazy difference in my competence and confidence. I signed up for the dual discipline program (Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) and have found myself more self mastered and with a ton of new friends. Highly recommend John’s Gym, today is the day to start!

Training at Johns Gym I feel like my Jujitsu has improved faster than it ever did before. We have a variety of teachers with very different styles which allows for a lot of freedom in picking and choosing what works for you, and creates a lot of discussion and critical thinking in the learning process.Furthermore when I came to Johns gym for the first time I was about 55lbs over my ideal weight with intense back and knee pain and lots of neck tension; one year later I have dropped about 30lbs and my aches and pains have also dropped in intensity by about 70%.You meet a lot of great people on the mats, of all ages and races and from all walks of life, it’s a good place to make friends, get fit, and have lots of fun learning and sparring! Absolutely satisfied with joining Johns Gym.

Okay, did not want to do this but we are out of options. There is not a possibility of negative stars so unfortunately it has to be 1 star. We decided to try out Jiu Jitsu for my son offered here. Few facts:- 1) They will work very hard to get your business. 2) We have observed differentiations here which surprises us. 3) To sum it up in few words, they do not know how or do not take time to teach kids how to tie a belt. 4) They told us that we will be able to cancel the contract ANYTIME and when we did are now threatening us of consequences. I have been trying to reach a Supervisor or Manager for quite sometime but Kylie REFUSES to share that information. Leaving review here in hopes someone reaches out who Kylie reports to because obviously we are one very unhappy customers who were just informed that IF your kid knows how to tie shoes we do not need to teach him how to tie a belt. There are other things but don’t want to make this a super long post. Just looking for someone who can help here and is professional. Updating to add: we found amazing classes (Master Yang's) and instructors for my son and he is much much happier. Save your money and run from this place. If this review was not enough, read their response to my negative review.

There aren't enough good things i could say about this gym. I've been training BJJ for almost 9 months now, and i feel the time I've put in is invaluable. The coaches and teammates have made me feel so welcomed and comfortable from my very first class. All of the coaches take their time and make sure EVERYONE understands what's being taught, and all of my teammates couldn't be more encouraging. I feel like I've gained a second family, and i couldn't imagine training anywhere else 👍🏻

John’s Gym welcomed me with open arms from the staff to other members, Very welcoming and accepting to new people starting MMA. Coaches are very willing to help out when you have questions.

I've only done four boxing classes (Counting the trial class) so far but this place is awesome. The people are respectful. The coaches exude knowledge. Every time I leave I am a better fighter with better technique and conditioning who is more capable of taking a hit to the face, and I know it because I just got done proving it again.

Came because I wanted to try a new workout and stayed because of the sense of community, strong work ethic, and exhilaration I get at every class. It’s definitely intimidating as a female beginner, but I’ve grown to love this place. If you give John’s Gym a chance, one month later, you’ll be feeling exactly what I’m feeling. 😊

This gym is solid. I lost about 25 pounds here, and gained a lot of skill and confidence. Cons- It's not cheap. I was paying $200 a month. You need to go to classes, not just open gym to get the full value of your money. Also- your schedule needs availability to really get the full value, you can't just show up for a quick workout whenever you want. Pros- small-ish size, personal touch, amazing atmosphere and good friendly people. Good programs for kids. John himself, along with his staff, are class acts. I tried boxing, Muay Thai, and BJJ in the 7 months I was there and they were all great. Just couldn't get in the class time for my schedule and budget. Would highly recommend them to anyone though.
