This is the best gym in Baltimore! Whether you're into power lifting, HIIT, group classes, yoga, or something else entirely, this gym has you covered. The staff is always courteous and knowledgeable. The facilities are always clean and in working order. The atmosphere is inviting but you can tell that people here are serious about fitness and health.I've been working with a personal trainer (Tony Kovacevich) for over a year and have made huge progress not just in my overall strength but also in my mobility and overall health. I would highly recommend training with Tony or any of the other trainers at Brick Bodies.

I like the staff and facilities at this gym but "pandemic hours" became for the foreseeable future hours, classes seem intentionally scheduled during working hours (9-5 M-F) and generally seem pretty limited and primarily Les Mills classes at the rotunda location (no pilates, kickboxing, non-Vinyasa yoga, etc). I will say however that the classes I have gone to have had wonderful instructors. It also seems like things have only gone downhill - cancelled classes, limited hours, no longer a women's lifting group - with only a new app for promoting their personal fitness services being added. It's a clean nice facility but for the price you'd expect a bit more.

Great, clean gym with awesome staff! Front desk are always warm/friendly, managers are thoughtful, PT program is excellent. My trainer Andrew is phenomenal!!!!! Even earned a free shirt just by checking in with Brick Perks. Used to work for a major competitor and this place is by far superior. Thank you to the Brick Bodies team!!!

I love this gym, great equipment, it's clean, in a great area, the staff and other members are all very friendly. Andrew, my personal trainer is probably the best PT I've ever met. I came in with a slipped disc in my back, causing severe sciatica pain. I could barely get up and down, let alone run or lift. I took the plunge to do something different than the prescribed things that weren't working for me. I thought my next step was going to be surgery. After five months of working out with him, I'm hitting a stride I thought I never would again. I credit this to his overall fitness and nutrition knowledge, and his friendly and patient way of focusing on form and getting the foundation right, then building from there. I feel like I'm getting back to myself and in one of the best shapes of my life. I highly recommend Andrew for anyone looking for a personal trainer, and Brick Bodies for having quality trainers like him!

In response to the fact JHU is now temporarily closed, they have lowered membership fees and commitment length to attract these students and others, which I understand and have no problem with. Unfortunately, they have also decreased staffing and in fact, currently do not even have a General Manager. End result: Lower paying members with not the same gym etiquette, not as clean and just not the same experience.

Personal trainer Tony Kovachevich is a supportive, attentive and motivating coach who continuously celebrates victories and makes workouts fun! He is precise in every aspect of his work and is always prepared. Tony studies current fitness research and regularly checks for my feedback and goals so that he can create ever-changing, innovative workouts for me. Perceptive, astute and compassionate, Tony has successfully led me to improved fitness and nutrition and is undeniably a positive force in my life.

My (exquisite) wife and I are long-time members of the gym at JHU which is under an extensive upgrade project that's dragging out because 2020. So we joined Brick Bodies in early Dec and are DELIGHTED we did. The initial appeal -- beyond simply being open -- is the hours. I have to be at my desk by 0700, so a gym (with a great locker room/shower) that opens at 0500 is a great. The facility is being cleaned constantly -- employees are VERY conscientious. The equipment is new, plentiful and in good working order. The classes we were able to take before the most recent COVID shutdown (some yoga/pilates hybrids) were great. When we joined we signed up for a course of personal training sessions. My most recent instruction in gym 'machines' goes back to the early days of Nautilus, so having a pro show me how to get the most benefit, safely, for the time I'm at the gym is really great. (I'm an old contact sport veteran who's had trouble getting past the myth that asking for help in a gym is for sissies.) Tony Kovacevich, the trainer I was assigned has REALLY exceeded my expectations. He's knowledgeable, professional, encouraging and communicative. Moreover, he has been willing to meet me at 5 am to meet my schedule needs and has typed up and provided detailed reports of the 'work' so I can replicate them when he's not around. Could not be more pleased we spent the extra money for this service.
