The a/c system in the yoga studio is very inconsistent. Sometimes it is working well. Other times not at all. Please address. Thank you!

I have been going to Merritt Clubs for almost a year now and still love it. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I really enjoy the variety of classes. All the trainers are excellent in working with all levels of your fitness, from beginner to advanced. It never gets stale nor is there a dull moment here!

I came expecting to have a good workout, chill by the pool & listen to music but this turned into one of the worst gym trial experiences I’d ever had. Knowing that the pool isn’t usually available to guests on weekends, I called beforehand to see if it would be ok since my friend was DJing here. I had received validation that it would be perfectly fine and still I was harassed by one of the front desk staff (really tall white guy, don’t remember his name) as I was leaving the gym. Even after he had previously confirmed that it was completely OK for me to enter the pool area, when I was leaving, he approached me very violently claiming that I tried to sneak into the pool area without permission. When I initially entered the gym, I informed him that I had called beforehand and he said he would confirm with a supervisor. He came back saying that it was fine and asked me to fill out a form on my phone & that I was good to go. Assuming that everything was all set, I went to workout & then lay by the pool. Then as I was leaving he abruptly stopped me and began accosting me claiming that pool access was for “members only”. I would have been perfectly fine just lifting & leaving if not that he had previously said I could go to the pool area since my friend was DJing. I’m just really shocked and very disappointed by the customer service & lack of accountability by this particular employee (again the tall white guy at the front desk). I was in fact looking to begin a gym membership with merrit clubs at this location but now that is definitely not happening. I will be going to the Canton location where I hopefully don’t ever have to see this guy again.

Great club, wide variety of equipment and lots of group fitness classes too. During the summer months, the pool, pool deck and bar are a great way to unwind after a workout.

Thanks for your feedback Jen. We do not have record of you visiting any of our clubs. Can you please email us at [email protected] to share why your experience was only 2-star.

Overpriced, expect a long wait to use equipment during most normal hours (they’d do tours for potential new members and with a straight face tell them that the wait times they were witnessing weren’t typical), broken equipment takes considerable time to be replaced or fixed, and their back office is stereotypically difficult to communicate with as soon as they catch a whiff that you’re looking to leave. During peak COVID, they also tried their best to skirt around the various capacity regulations and keep their doors open with the excuse they take their cleaning very seriously. It took Instagram and social media attention to get them to even issue temporary membership freezes when everything was ordered completely closed. The extra few dried up paper towel disinfectant stations they threw in is I guess what they refer to when they claim they took the threat seriously over the past few months.
