Although the community/members at this gym are friendly and amazing, the gym has failed to maintain reasonable cleanliness, upkeep, transparency, and temperature in their facility. Since I have been a member, the organization of the gym, the equipment, and the friendliness of the staff have significantly declined. The gym is often overcrowded and dirty, with sanitizers frequently running out, weights in the wrong places, and even leaks in the ceiling. MUV does not maintain a reasonable temperature, forcing their members to workout in 80+ degrees while they attempt to utilize fans to push the hot air around. I’ve had to leave in the middle of my workout because the temperatures remained in their 80’s inside which makes it incredibly difficult to enjoy a workout or push yourself safely. The excess heat and humidity are noticeable as soon as you step inside, and remain uncomfortable throughout the gym. It seems that the AC is only functional in the locker rooms, and upon stepping outside, you’re met with 85 degrees, humidity, and body odor from overheated members.Additionally, there are issues with transparency in pricing, pushy texts and events to try to get you to sign up your friends or family, and they make it difficult to cancel your membership/discuss fees.Although this is a decently priced beginner gym, the recent issues with overcrowded equipment, maintenance, and ridiculous temperatures have made me look into other gyms in the area. Sadly I no longer look forward to working out here.

The hoops you have to jump thru to cancel a membership should be reviewed. Why do I have to send a letter or come in person to cancel my membership? I no longer live in Oregon and the letters seem to not have been received. I hope someone reviews this policy bc in 2023 it shouldn't be this hard to cancel. I will never recommend this gym to anyone

Aly is an amazing trainer. I was struggling with some mental health struggles lately and she was understanding, caring, and adapting to my work out routine to make it so I could come in and know it would be what I could do that day and not pressured to do more than my body could. She’s really the best. Lucky to have her here!
