I expected this to be a safe place that embodies Christian values. Some of the basketball coaches are using “Nigger” curse words infront of our children. Some are very unprofessional, mean and aggressive to the kids. My sons have been called names & put down by some coaches and I was shocked when my son begged me not to call the office because he is afraid nothing will be done and this coach will retaliate by benching him unfairly during basketball!!! This is my first time to use youth basketball summer program but my son is coming home broken!!! Really unfortunate!! Is there a code of conduct in this place… these coaches are so emboldened and it’s like they know nothing will be done even if we complain!!

Passing through town and I needed a shower. YMCA is known for being a good cheap place for a shower while on the road or the homeless. The facility is very clean and the lady at the front desk was super nice. No payment for the shower. The locker room was nice and empty at the time so I basically got to shower by myself.

BEAVERTON FAMILY YMCA HAS A NEW CHILD CARE BUILDINGThis morning I was at the YMCA for a Beaverton chamber networking event. I learned that they do more than basketball they provide child care and their new building they reach out to the community for about meals and they're very valuable to the community according to Linda the community outreach director

I have never been to a YMCA before and was quite pleasantly impressed. People were extremely nice. Everything was clean. I enjoyed it enough to apply for membership.
