Used to be called stone gardens. But I heard they're expanding. Looking forward to what it will look like!

My favorite climbing gym in the area! The top rope is so extensive and the routes have a good variety. Everyone who works here is very helpful and friendly. Definitely worth the price!

I had the humility to attempt to return to climbing after a hiatus. I went with a friend who used to instruct climbing. We were hanging out talking about knots and comparing notes after successfully climbing several routes. The rope was not attached to anybody's harness; we were simply holding it and demonstrating knots. A person who works there named Amy (I was told that she works in sales) came up to invade our personal space and interrupt our conversation, saying "you don't know that climbing is dangerous; you don't know how to tie knots and you need to leave," and proceeded to throw us out. She did not approach us asking if we needed help or even consider that her assumption might be incorrect.Completely rude staff. Not a place where one can go if one is open to learning or wanting to try new things, or open to comparing notes and socializing with friends. Definitely not a place to come back to climbing after a hiatus.I'm still not clear why we were asked to leave; both of us are adults, signed the waiver, and know how to climb. We were treated like unruly kindergardeners. That lady made the staff seem really snobby, insulting, lacking in basic communication skills (um, I-messages), and not a welcoming environment at all. Since I was thrown out, unlikely that I will buy a membership. Just know that you can be thrown out on Amy's whim at any time!

My go-to climbing gym. Partly because it's the easiest for me to get to, but also everything is clean. Routes are reset often enough to keep things interesting. Also, if you go on a Tuesday afternoon, you can catch the farmer's market across the way. Has both bouldering and top rope/lead. So if your belaytionship partner bails you can still get some climbing done.

Been bouldering at Edgeworks Seattle/Bellevue for close to 4 months nowTook the intro to climbing class at the Bellevue location with Jessica - 10/10 class would recommendThe staff are knowledgeable and are happy to help. Routes are fun, but wish the gym was bigger - gets crowded in the evenings

First time climber. Had a blast. Great way to get in fun strength training. All levels of climbing difficulty from very easy to insane. Being a first time, I stick to boulder climbing without ropes of course, but looked like a great selection of tall ropes courses as well! I tried some of the mid difficulty boulder climbed, mostly without success, but had fun doing it.

It used to be a nice gym before lockdown. Since Edgeworks acquired Stone Gardens, things went downhill. The place gets very crowded. They took down all autobelays - an essential tool for training. The staff can be very mean. The guest pass policy is very restrictive.

I brought a guest to climb here using my membership perk and was denied because the guest had been here before within the last 30 days. The membership rules clearly state that we get 1 free guest pass per month. Nowhere does it ever state that the recipient can only use one pass per 30 day rolling window. Everyone I know including myself have had no issues bringing in guests in the past even if they’ve been there before using someone else’s pass. The front desk also couldn’t find any public documentation stating this rule. Yet the person at the front desk claimed it was corporate policy and required me to purchase a day pass instead. This is absurd. You can’t enforce a policy that you’ve never communicated anywhere to your members.

Routes are good, but the gym itself smells so bad on a busy day, vent system seems not working at all and it is so hot inside as well. Have been to quite a few gyms in Seattle area, this is only one smells stinky, so weird.

I've got memberships and/or punch cards to all the local gyms, but this has become my preferred ropes gym. I used to go to VW all the time, but I like the layout and structure of Edgeworks better now. It also has bouldering which is a plus and allows me to warmup before my partner gets to the gym.
