I've been going here faithfully for over a year and a half. The price point is ok. The regular staff is friendly. Gym equipment is kinda shabby, and the owner doesn't move new equipment into this location, just hand-me-downs. All but 2 of the barbells spin like a top, which can be frustrating. But It is not a super busy gym on most days, so you can get through your workout without having to change too much. The gym could use more racks and benches, though, since those do fill up.As far as options go, there are 1-2 different types of machines to use for each minor/major muscle group plus the free weights. Dumbells max at 150 and low is 5lbs (they had smaller, but they disappeared recently). New renovations are going on rn, so hopefully, when it's done, upgrades are next. All in all, it's not a terrible gym, and people are nice. It's just management that is distant from the gym.

The gym has all new cardio equipment. Everything has been updated from the flooring to the locker rooms, and they are still upgrading everything! It looks amazing! The owner and management have really upped their game, and it shows ..

This gym has been a disappointment for the last few years. They currently have 3 of 15 treadmills that function and it has been like that for a LONG time. They have signs that new equipment is coming soon, but that's been months too. None of the elliptical machine inclines work properly either, which I notified the front desk of years ago. Some of the weight equipment, like the shoulder mts press, have missing parts. And they have you pay a $50 annual fee for equipment maintenance. Guess that's going to the unnecessary remodel currently underway that has turned the gym into a black hole. Currently all the equipment is shoved into the center of the gym while they replace the floors. It really seems like they could have done smaller sections at once and not created such chaos. They also play overly loud music in the morning, which is really annoying when it overpowers your own ear buds. And a bunch of it is rap, so if you're into that, great.Perhaps when all the renovations are done and they receive the supposedly coming equipment, it might be nice. Won't be able to say because we cancelled our membership effective the end of the month to go to a better facility down the hill.As of June 14, 2023 I would avoid this gym for a while until they finish the remodel, then perhaps check it out then.

10 treadmills are down for maintenance (they've been like this for past couple of months)Out of the 7 remaining trendmills, at least 2 cannot do incline. One of them is stuck at a declineUpdate 4/25/2023Down to 4 working trendmills + 1 stuck at a decline

Great gym. I enjoy going here more than the fancier eastside gyms. Eager to see how the remodel looks when completed. I'm sure it will be fantastic.

This is the best gym I’ve been a member of. I moved to Florida and haven’t been able to find anything like it.This Golds has everything.I used to go mon-Fri very early in the morning and it was never crowded. All of the weights and machines are new.People need to understand what a gem this place is, especially compared to other more expensive facilities all over the country.I can’t wait to move back in a few months.

Like many other former members, this Golds Gym has decided to send what they see as a balance due, to collections. It's pure extortion and part of a truly horrible company. Even though all bank and credit card statements along with emails from their corporate office was sent to them showing I do not owe them anything, they are still trying to rip me off. Be very aware of this dump, they will do the same to others as they try and stay afloat.

Great location and good gym but unfortunately if you NEED to use chalk for SAFETY, DO NOT COME HERE. It's not allowed, and no alternatives are allowed such as liquid chalk (if they're concerned with normal chalk being 'messy')Hence 1 start from me because no chalk can lead to major injuries when training for competitions.

I tried to like this gym because it was so close to my home, but there is so much I have to sacrifice.First, on the weekends, they do not open until 8am which is late for people like me who normally get there at 6am on the weekdays. I sacrifice parts of my mornings because I need to wait for the gym to open.Second, the free weight benches aren't nailed down. Members can move it all over the gym and sometimes they leave the benches close to one another which is awkward if you're working out and someone sits next to you because they specifically need the incline bench. Not to mention, because they are not nailed down, they can move when you launch your body to push the weight up or if you're using leg drive. I sacrifice my time by placing 45lb plates behind the benches so they don't move. Not to mention, what if you're a tiny person who cannot move the benches away from a specific location? It would be much more organized if they were placed in one spot and stayed there.Third, barbells. Perhaps I am picky, but as a woman, a good chunk of the barbells are thick and require more work for me to deadlift. I have to hunt down a specific barbell everytime I deadlift, my sacrifice. Not to mention, some of the barbells are weird. I've been going to the gym for 8 years and was always used to barbells having knurlings for grip purposes. It's just dangerous when you're squatting heavy and there's not center knurling grabbing your skin or shirt.Forth, the rules. I see so many members lifting barefoot, talking on the phone, leaving gym bags on the floor, slamming weights, and not re-racking their weights, but I don't see them getting reprimanded for it. Today, I was told not to use chalk because it gets messy. I'm obviously not using chalk to be obnoxious. I need it for safety reasons. And I clean my chalk up afterwards. Does this gym not want me to make gains?!Fifth, membership cost. For $40/month, it doesn't come with appealing amenities. For $6.99/month more, I can go to 24 hour fitness for steamroom, sauna, basketball courts, and a more diverse set of classes. To close - it is a good gym to go to for average needs, but if you're about physical and mental growth, this place can be difficult to accomplish that.
