Fitness Evolution - Bellingham

Super easy to get signed up and the staff is always nice. I've been at several gyms in Bellingham and the facility at fitness evolution is my favourite! It's a good size and they have lots of cardio equipment available. The cardio cinema makes it fun to watch new movies I may not have seen before while I get a workout in.Changed to one star because of how difficult it is to cancel a membership here. Management will keep charging you dues even after you have cancelled. You will literally have to change your debit card or file a dispute with your card company to get them to stop, super predatory

Update: This gym's cancellation policy is more awful than I realized in my initial review. My experience was that I had to call an automated line who sent me an email, to then go to an online portal to cancel my membership myself. Why couldn't Fitness Evolution have provided me access to this portal earlier rather than gatekeeping it behind really terrible third party customer service? What's more, what was told me to me when I joined the gym was wrong. They don't charge two months after cancelling, they require thirty days notice of cancellation, which may or may not involve paying for two months depending on when in the month your cancellation falls. In all it was time consuming and frustrating to cancel.The gym is large, the equipment is good. However the total number of members at the gym at any one time can make finding a parking spot/ equipment a challenge much of the time.They warned me when I started my membership that they would charge me for one additional month after my cancellation, as if it would be no big deal. What they failed to explain was two items:1. You cannot cancel in person or by email. You must call an automated phone line or send them certified mail. I found this to be surprising and disappointing. They have staff in person at the gym that could process my cancellation if they chose to allow them to do so.2. You have pay up-front the next month's dues when cancelling. For example I am attempting to cancel right now, June 7th. I just paid my last bill on June 1st. The automated line is telling me in order to cancel I need to pay the next month's (July) dues now. To my understanding I would also pay for August as well, I don't know when I should expect that charge to go through. Paying to cancel via robot and not actually having it be cancelled outright feels bad.Business -- Your cancellation policy really soured my experience and I likely won't be coming back when I am ready to join a gym again. I will not be recommending your gym to others because of it.

Great gym, great staff and good equipment. Could use some more benches and squat racks maybe because during rush hour those are in high demand, but For the monthly price its fantastic for those on a budget or those who just want the most for what they are paying.

Ya the gyms awesome and has super good equipment but Fitevo hires people as “front desk” but only has them DEEP CLEAN their whole shift for minimum wage. Honestly doesn’t seem fair or a good work environment. They deserve better.

I’ve been a member at FitEvo since 2021. Since day one I’ve felt included by the friendly staff and other members. It’s very much a community that supports each other. It’s the first place I’ve been comfortable enough to start lifting heavy and stop overthink about if anyone is worried about what I’m doing. I’m also a huge fan of the protein shakes! If you haven’t already, try one!!

kicked me out :(also has black mold in the showersand occasionally strange fluids staining the benches of the saunalockers hardly ever cleanthe air quality CANNOT be good with this much standing dust above the sauna

Overall, I highly recommend Fitness Evolution to anyone looking for a welcoming, supportive, and well-equipped gym. Also, I want to add that they keep the gym very clean, especially compared to my last one. Thank you!
