I'm so glad I found Fit4Mom! Exercise has always been important to me but I wasn't sure what that would look like after having my first baby. I found Fit4Mom online and signed up for my first free class after getting the clearance from my doctor that I could exercise again. I was nervous about attending - both because I wasn't sure how I'd feel physically and because I was still getting used to this new identity of "mom". I was also running late to my first class, which didn't help. But when I arrived, Jo shared there's no such thing as running late. She was warm and welcoming, as were the rest of moms. It's such a relief as a new mom to have a space where it doesn't matter when you show up, your baby can be crying, you can pause to change a diaper, and you're always welcomed back with big smiles.I love seeing familiar faces each week and watching everyone's kiddos grow! And it's also really nice to meet new moms who come to class week-to-week. In addition to the people, I love that the classes are outside and that Jo offers modifications for workouts. This allows you to go at your own pace, exercise safely, and challenge yourself when you're ready! Jo is wonderful. She pushes your stroller if your baby needs some extra attention while you're working out, surprises us with treats, organizes "moms nights out", and helps out whenever she sees a mamma in trouble (like when my car truck got stuck!).I've been telling all of my mom friends around the country to check out their local Fit4Moms. It's such a great community and resource!

I knew FIT4MOM through a friend about 3 months ago when my baby was about 2 months old. I met Jo and other moms on a sunny Friday morning at Emeryville, I was little bit nervous because it was my first time taking the baby out just by myself. We did group jogging, exercising, jumping around strollers. Jo is super friendly and knowledgeable, she let us through the class also organized a coffee chat after we finished exercising. I enjoyed chatting with other moms and learning tips to take of the little one. Parking is easy at the Emeryville location, there is a public market where you can access to restroom and changing table.

Such an amazing resource to have as a new mom! I went every Wednesday and Friday while on maternity leave, and it was a great way to get out of the house, move my body, and meet other women in a similar stage of life and motherhood. Jo was incredibly welcoming and supportive, and truly understands what it means to be a new mom getting out of the house for the first time. My maternity leave would not have been as fun or meaningful without this group - thank you to Jo for maintaining this community and to all the moms I met along the way!

I'm so happy to have found Jo and this community! I go to the Stroller Strides twice a week with my 8-month son and it has become the only workout we do. I started when he was around 3 months and I couldn't do other workouts because they wouldn't allow kids or he would start crying while I was on zoom. Being able to not only bring him with me (and no other moms or the instructor Jo are judging if he's fussy!) to get a good workout, but also to involve him by singing, moving him around, and getting him some fresh air, has been so great.Jo tailors the workouts to who is attending that day, and it's just the right amount of challenging while not being too much for a postpartum body. As I've recovered more from my C-section, she adds variations to the exercises. She is so thoughtful in planning the classes and in building a community with fun icebreakers, plenty of time to chat during class, and hangouts after with coffee for us and toys for the babies/toddlers. I've met some great moms through these hangouts and always look forward to going again :)

I joined this group when I was 6ish months pregnant with my second kid and have loved the community that is here. The workouts are the riggy level of difficulty, the events for families are fun for everyone, and the mom's night outings make it easy to commit and stay healthy (physically and mentally)!

I'm so happy to have found Fit4mom run clubs when I did (about a year and a half after my son was born). It helped me get back to my happy place. AND, I never ever considered running with my kid in a jogging stroller until I saw so many of the other amazing run club parents doing it!

I'm so grateful for Jo and Fit4Mom510. My kiddo was born mid-pandemic and I really struggled to find a mom community. Enter Fit4Mom. The weekly park classes have been a fantastic way to get outside with my kid, meet other moms, and get a great workout in to boot. Jo helped me ease back into exercise postpartum, and keeps workouts both fun and challenging. The mom-night-out events are a blast, too! Highly recommend Fit4Mom for both the fitness and the community.

I attended a fit for mom play group, I did not attend a workout class. The owner was kind and welcoming to all of the moms/kids and played the ukulele while singing children’s tunes. She explained how to signup for a workout class and I will definitely be back!

I joined FIT4MOM just 8 weeks after having my first born. It was always such a struggle to get out of the house, but I always left the class being so happy that I did! The group really helped invigorate my spirit (and my body!) during some of the most trying days. Monica is one of the instructors, and she was often my inspiration for attending class. She is an all around incredible human.
