I have been to many gyms and can say few rival the kindness, professional instruction and quality of this school. I dropped in as I was travelling through town and was invited to join a class. I felt like Id been there for years. I learned a ton! Worth your time and money to invest in training. I will be back whenever I'm in Boise.

I had wanted to get into Jiu Jitsu for a couple years and so glad I found Spectre Jiu Jitsu. Derek, Thomas, and Jake are great instructors. They take the time to help develop each student's game personally and help explain techniques in different ways until it makes sense to you. The room is focused on getting your game better and everyone wants to help you come along and make progress. If you are thinking about trying somewhere out or cross training - Give it a go!

Plenty of mat space at the 6am class and a friendly group of people. Relaxed atmosphere, but they certainly up the intensity as class progresses. Very detailed and attentive instruction, with increasing resistance and what appeared to be kind and considerate class mates on the mat.A big thank you to Derek and Justin for making me feel welcome and easing me into my first class. They made it as comfortable to step on the mat as anybody could. If you're wondering about BJJ, you would do well to try here.

Edit, 2 years from below initial review:Crisp and Clear instruction. Great culture. They teach leg attacks and equally focus on Gi and No-Gi. No contracts. Month to Month. I'm a member of another gym and pay $40/m to focus on No-Gi through a "dual citizenship" membership. Brilliant!Original Review:I stopped by for a visit. You should too!

Great Academy! I was visiting for the weekend and dropped in to the Saturday and Sunday classes and felt like I was training at my home gym. Everyone was extremely welcoming and the group had a great culture/vibe. High level technique and instruction from Prof. Jake and Prof. Derek. Both instructors took time during and after class to go over details and answer any questions. For anyone, at any level, looking for a gym I'd highly recommend this place. I most definitely will be back soon to train!

Awesome instruction, great facility and great group of people. During my trip to Boise I stopped in to train. Instructors Jake and Derrick were very welcoming and taught great technique. They both took the time to go over extra details and answer any questions. Highly recommend this place to anyone training jiu jitsu from beginner to advanced you will not be disappointed.
