I have been coming to SBG for about 6 months now doing the jiu jitsu classes. All the coaches are extremely helpful and friendly. I feel that I get all my questions answered and some. Best gym around.

Solid gym with plethora of classes to choose from. Everyone seemed really happy to be training there. Lots of training partners of both genders and weight classes. All around great gym and competition.

After joining a little over 2.5 years ago, I can say that I was disappointed with this gym. Jesse is a great guy and I enjoyed supporting a small business owner.I came in with years of experience in Muay Thai (even competing in matches in the past) and I was consistently put in the foundational class and sandbagged, holding pads for 14-year-olds; some of the beginner class coaches had it out for me it seemed. I asked multiple coaches if I could "test out" to get ahead to the more advanced class and I was denied with the statement "you have to just commit to foundations classes first." With my career, I simply don't have the time to commit to beginners' classes again. After repeated attempts to get my pre-paid deposit back from staff, I was denied.Frankly, it felt that because I am a transplant and not a "local", I got held back intentionally and my money and time were wasted.Don't recommend.

Overall, I enjoy my time at the gym. I go mainly for BJJ, sometimes Judo. My work and life schedule is all over the place and it's nice being able to go to class in the morning or late afternoon, depending on what's happening. Every class, I feel I learn or go over something that is useful. The atmosphere is mostly friendly too, with coaches and sparring partners being super kind, so no complaints.

Really great gym. All the coaches are committed to giving an individual experience. Really good community. Feels like you're part of a team.

I joined back in October, and I’ve got to say I’ve tried other places, but this gym is the most legit in my eyes. You leave practice feeling like you learned something useful, and the coaches are excellent. It is fairly inexpensive in my opinion for what you get out of it. Not talking down on anywhere in particular, but I’ve tried places where it’d be nearly twice as much and the practice just didn’t feel fulfilling to me. If you’re thinking about trying out a martial art of some kind, don’t hesitate, you’ll be pleasantly surprised and they get you up to speed so quickly. they also offer affordable private lessons and the coaches are passionate, you don’t feel rushed out the door, they are always available for questions and instruction. You’ll get out whatever you put in for sure!

So many positive things about this place. If you are looking to get fit or just wanting to get into the sport check it out. This gym offers it all MMA, jiu jitsu, judo, wrestling, boxing, muay thai, suples, and has the best kids programs. Clean facility with the best coaches to teach you. The atmosphere is so positive, I always leave feeling so accomplished.

Best MMA gym in the state, also a great place for women and kids to train. Jesse is my favorite wrestling coach in the world 🌎 …

As a business owner I'd say they have a solid business model and their coaches seem to be knowledgeable and take time to break down techniques. The Muay Thai classes have been great so far, and if I have time I'd love to jump into a boxing class sometime. 🤠🤙🥊Definitely a welcoming vibe for beginners or amateurs walking in.
