I've gone to this gym 6x a week for the last 9 months. Basile's emphasis on form, safety, and quality movements over ego, RXing, or anything else is one of the many things that makes this gym exceptional. If you are new to CrossFit or Olympic weightlifting this is where you want to go in the treasure valley to learn how to correctly lift and move your body. Coaches won't feed you BS or tell you the 100th time you have done a movement wrong that it's correct. They will keep kindly correcting you and won't give up on helping you learn a new skill or movement. I have been to other gyms in the area that are not committed to consistently working with all their members on learning movements correctly. The result was unsafe practices and preventable injuries.Even though this gym has some insanely fit and strong people - I'm talking CrossFit games level fit - Basile does a wonderful job at making the average crossfiters that come here for daily workout feel just as valued and coaches them no differently. The community here is amazing. There are incredible athletes, fantastic coaches, and a whole lot of good, kind, and caring people. Verdant does a great job planning gym events every two weeks or so to create that community. Gym hikes, game nights, socials, river floats, ect. This gym is unique because it has an Olympic lifting side of it. It has athletes that compete in Olympic lifting as well as CrossFit. They also have a barbell class that regular old joes like me can attend twice a week. This class has helped me significantly improve my lifting form and gain confidence. They also have a yoga class once a week which Emily does a great job teaching and I enjoy. In a nutshell this gym is well run, very professional, has exceptional coaching, and wonderful people. If you want to learn to learn excellent form, get in great shape, and make good friends - swallow your ego, listen to the coaches, and show up here consistently.

Verdant CrossFit is a great, welcoming community. The owner and coaches are a big part of the community! The programming for CrossFit is great and challenging, the kids program is wonderful. A 5 star facility with an owner who cares! Second location in Star is just as great.

Dropped in for the open 23.2. From the beginning they made the drop in easy and very welcoming. Quick response to my email about dropping in. Basile greeted me when I walked in and made my daughter and I feel welcomed. Process was simple and fast. All the members made me feel at home and part of the crew. Definitely coming back when I’m in town!!

Great and consistent programming and coaching. Members and staff are welcoming; it’s great that they use Wodify (makes it easy to transfer data from other boxes). I most appreciate that the instructors provide active feedback and know everyone well enough to give specific and actionable coaching. They’re not afraid to give helpful and active feedback, which is what I’m there for. Good range of members, so you’ll be in good company no matter where you’re at in your exercise journey.Honestly can’t think of a single negative. Parking is slightly more constrained, but they managed to carve out lots of options and spaces, so it works.

I used to go to CrossFit in another state a while back. I never got into it back then. However, I realized after going here that the coaching staff makes a world of difference. Every coach here genuinely cares! They are masters at teaching the lifts and coordinating workouts. Also, the gymgoers are also friendly people. They have social events outside the gym too. I’ve never been to one but it seems like a good way to meet fun, go-getter type people.

Great gym. Been coming here for a few months now and the programming, coaches, and vibe are all excellent. All sorts of folks from all over the place make it a fun environment. Tons of classes throughout the day, great for those of us with schedules that can change on short notice. If you're looking for a gym this is it.

Dropped in while visiting Boise for the weekend and was wickedly impressed! Definitely one of the best CrossFit gyms I’ve been to. Chloe, who coached the 5:15 class, was super nice and provided some great feedback. Erin, who helped get me checked in, has an awesome energy about her! Overall I was very impressed. If I lived in Boise this would without a doubt be the CrossFit box I choose.
