Highly, highly recommend Introduction to Pilates for People with Spinal Fusions and Scoliosis with Jen Gorman. I feel so much better prepared to care for my back and body properly. She provides a wealth of information and wisdom, both during class and with extensive course material and videos. Also highly recommend private consultations - very valuable. If you have a unique back with spinal fusion or curvatures she provides expertise guidance in accordance with your specific goals and needs. Jen is welcoming and compassionate in her instruction. I feel so much better physically and even emotionally since discovering Wellness in Motion.

Jen Gorman is responsible for me no longer suffering back pain from my scoliosis, sciatica, and stenosis.Boise's gain and Chicago's loss of in person privates, but happily Zoom has kept her in my world. I have taken back care classes from Jen since 2019, both in-person and virtually. Her yoga class was originally recommended to me by a physical therapist who was helping me with thoracic and lumbar issues. What a godsend! While the classes have been small group, Jen pays special attention to each participant and provides individual instruction to ensure correct and safe form. She also is big on ensuring we understand the anatomy and science behind the movements. My weekly sessions allow me to maintain better health -- my whole body is in much better shape because of Jen's classes!

Jen has helped me so much to regain my mobility after spinal fusion surgery. I have so much more awareness of my new body, what it's capable of, and what I need to work on to improve. I have done yoga in person and pilates virtually with Jen, and she is kind, knowledgeable, patient, and a forever student of self. She truly understands what students with back issues struggle with. Jen is truly amazing. I did personal training with Jen in Winter 2018 to help me prepare for my upcoming wedding. From our first session, Jen really stood out to me from her understanding of the body and how to comprise exercise sequences that were efficient and effective. Partway through our training, I experienced a back injury, which lucky for me was Jen’s specialty. I truly would not be where I am today without Jen’s guidance, gentle pushing, and support- and look forward to working more with her in the future. I would 100% recommend her to anyone who is looking to increase their fitness with someone who truly understands what you need as an individual.

Jen was my yoga teacher for almost two years at Samamkay yoga center in NYC. I absolutely loved her class of yoga for scoliosis!!!She is a strong yogi and has great knowledge of scoliosis. She is also a fantastic teacher that pays personal attention to each student. Her classes helped me to get a better posture and healthier and stronger back.And she is just a great person to be around. Would recommend her to anyone who has back pain or issues!

Jen is amazing! From the moment I met her, she has known just what I have needed to excel in our training sessions and when I am working out on my own. She is also a phenomenal yoga instructor who has helped to confidence within me throughout the weekly class. I would recommend her to anyone that needs personal training or is looking to take a relaxing and restorative yoga class.

I have tremendous confidence in the training I receive working with Jen Gorman. Prior to starting with Jen just a year ago, I had been skeptical working with trainers who don’t really understand how the body works and how my body works specifically. Jen applies her extensive knowledge and experience to design a specific regime for me to build both strength and flexibility to address various back and hip issues including scoliosis and spondylolisthesis. Equally important, Jen has helped me to better understand my ailments and how to incorporate various exercises and movements into my everyday life, not just when working out.
