I was in Boulder for my sisters wedding and I was staying at the Marriot, which is conveniently within walking distance to Crossfit Sanitas. I was immediately greeted by Cole when I entered, and he helped set me up with a class. The class was led by Coach Stacey, who thoroughly explained and demoed each movement. I was partnered up with Eric (owner) who was an incredibly nice guy with a true passion for what he does. As a crossfit coach (Texas), I give this box two thumbs up! Great coaches, great atmosphere, clean, professional, and solid programming. If you are in the Boulder area, definitely give these guys a go!

Great crossfit gym and community. The coaches put safety first and make sure your form is right to prevent injury, which is not the reputation crossfit gets sometimes. The facility is the best I've ever been to, and like many other reviewers, I travel a lot and drop in at other locations while on the road and was a member at another crossfit in Mississippi prior to moving here. Classes can be big compared to other experiences I've had but there's plenty of space and they staff up accordingly, making sure there are multiple coaches if needed for a class. Also, the owners continuously reinvest in new equipment and the facility. An added bonus are the specialty classes that are included in membership - I have enjoyed both the barbell and gymnastics classes to further refine skills. You can come here and get fit and be motivated to come back tomorrow, or you can go all the way and take part in the parties and clean-eating challenges and competitions and really be a part of the community - Sanitas provides it all!

I've been going to Sanitas for almost three years now, and can't say enough good things about it. It's the first gym I've ever gone to that has motivated me to go regularly, and where I've felt like part of a community. The coaches are top-notch, stay focused on form and doing movements correctly, and encourage members to push themselves past limits in a safe and supportive environment. The programming is excellent - both the regular WODs and the additional ones like strength, endurance, oly lifting, and gymnastics. The members are amazing people who come regularly, cheer each other on, and really get to know each other. And to top it off, the gym itself is beautiful, and the amenities like childcare, locker rooms, and the plunge pool are great perks. Going to this gym regularly has helped me get in the best shape I've been in in years, and made me better able to enjoy all the hiking/skiing/biking and other outdoor activities that are why most of us love Colorado.

I have been a competitive nordic skier and triathlete and started crossfit this summer at Sanitas. I also travel frequently for work and hit boxes in cities across the country. I have never come close to encountering the quality of coaching that happens every day at Sanitas. The coaches are not only technical experts, knowledgeable about health, nutrition, fitness and injury prevention but they also figure out how to design the workouts to challenge the most elite athlete and the beginner at the same time. Additionally, the staff does a terrific job of fostering community and I look forward to ‘getting to work out’ each day. Truly… a top- notch operation.

I love working out here. The coaching is superb: I always feel challenged and supported at the same time, and safety is their first priority. The community is so fun and supportive: I always feel encouraged to be the best version of myself and have fun doing so! I never considered myself an athlete before coming in here, and now it's an important part of my life. I'd encourage anyone considering CrossFit to get in to Sanitas ASAP.

It's easy for me to express gratitude towards the Sanitas community~I joined Crossfit Sanitas in April. Then, three weeks ago, I broke my foot while playing outside the gym. In the past (like when I had ankle surgery), I let injuries identify me, and stop me from remaining physically active and even engaged with my physical body. This time? Within three days of the break I was at our box working on some pull-ups, and I've continued to come in regularly since then. Those at Crossfit Sanitas have been awesome at cheering me on and having me feel welcome, even though I haven't been able to participate in the WODs (Workout Of the Day).Something else I'm noticing is that I used to not push myself very hard when going to the gym. That shifted when I came to Sanitas. It became both fun and encouraging to go my hardest while working out. With my foot now broken, I wasn't sure what was going to happen now that I'm working out on my own again, with a fracture, eek. Well, last night (on my own) I pushed myself as hard as I would have in any regular WOD, and woke up today feeling the best kind of sore all over. Incredible! So, all that being said, a huge THANK YOU to Crossfit Sanitas for supporting me through this. Can't wait to be back to running with the pack, and in the meantime, I'm loving being a part of this community.

I dropped into CF Sanitas this past Thursday and Friday as an out-of-towner only in Boulder for a few days. To start, let me just say that this box is 1) HUGE and 2) special. I've been to a bunch of boxes on the east coast and truly none of them have the same feel as Sanitas. It just seems like a happy and healthy place to be- what a CF box should be in its most ideal form.Beyond the impressive physical space (something like 10,000 sq feet w/ 10 Crossover Symmetrys, a huge rig, turf, platforms... the list goes on), the coaches and staff were incredible. Dwight (the head coach) was so helpful when I had to modify things because of my knee injury, and was likewise attentive and encouraging to all members of the two classes I attended. He clearly loves what he does, and that translated into an easy-going and welcoming atmosphere (despite the tough workouts). Wendy was likewise attentive and thoughtful, taking time to chat about my physical therapy after class and tape me up!In general, CF Sanitas made me feel immediately welcomed and paid such careful attention to me, the injured drop-in. I left feeling recharged and ready to dive back into CF after months of rehab and dragging my feet through individual exercises. In an environment like that, with the awesome team they have, it's no wonder they can make a difference in just a few short hours.Long story short- this is a special place that I highly recommend to anyone looking to join a healthy and happy community, and get really fit in the process. If I lived in Boulder it would be my second home. Anyone in the area is lucky to have them nearby! GO!p.s. they have Kombucha on tap. And barbell-wielding bear tank tops. you should buy both.

I travel frequently for work and have visited at least 10-15 different CrossFit facilities across the country, even a few internationally. I can say, hands down, that CrossFit Sanitas ranks at the top of my list. The facility itself is clean, spacious, and up-to-date. The community is warm, welcoming, and serious about getting fit. What makes Sanitas superior to the majority of other boxes, however, are the programming and the staff. Caleb (co-owner and coach) is methodical and thorough in his approach. WODs are always varied and comprehensive. Every coach at Sanitas is extremely well trained; each is tuned in and very attentive to the individual needs of every athlete. Five stars for CrossFit Sanitas!

Sanitas is not some garage-sized, dimly-lit crossfit box tucked away amidst some warehouses outside of town like most seem to be. Rather, the 10,000+ square foot facility is located in the center of Boulder stocked with all the toys you'd want, and then some. And while that's all fine and dandy, the best aspects of Sanitas are the friendly and uber-knowledgeable coaches and the tight-knit community atmosphere. Coming to Sanitas from a globo gym, naturally I wasn't sure what to expect and was a little apprehensive. Those feelings were immediately squashed as I realized Sanitas coaches are constantly engaged in making sure each movement is completed with proper form and technique. I also immediately realized I could never go back to a globo gym again due to the fact that I would never get as good a workout there as I would at Sanitas. My one year anniversary at Crossfit Sanitas was yesterday (thanks for the email, guys!!) and I haven't looked back. There's no doubt I'm stronger, leaner, and in the best shape of my life since I've been here. Joining Sanitas was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made and I'm excited to see what I can accomplish at Sanitas in 2014.

I compete in powerlifting and my home gym is conventionally a powerlifting gym, but we shared space with a Crossfit outfit. So, when I moved to Boulder and found no powerlifting gyms I approached Crossfit Sanitas about training at their facility. They were more than welcoming and reasonable, allowing me to continue my training under their roof. The atmosphere is great, and they have plenty of equipment for training beyond Crossfit (bands for speed, strongman stuff etc..). Next up are the people. Every trainer I have met there has been extremely welcoming and encouraging. I recommend this facility to anyone I meet who is interested in participating in Crossfit in the greater Boulder area. Five stars.
