My 16yr old son has always been a shy,quiet,very nervous kid and grumpy,but, since he started his Jiu Jitsu classes his personality has changed dramatically. He is know a confident teenager who is not afraid of speaking publicly,he is way less grumpy,he laughs and talks more with family,he has told his father and I that his Master Galvan has helped him alot. We as parents are extremely happy this sport has helped motivate him in many ways.

Extremely thorough ensures he teaches for everyone to understand breaks it down step by step. Very comfortable and makes everyone feel like they belong. Also had handful of extremely knowledgeable instructors to for everyone to get a chance of one on one with a black belt. If your looking to learn a martial art or even a self defense by far the best place in Texas to go....

The jujitsu class I go to is amazing!! The teachers are great and communicate with there students when ever they need help. They take there time to explain and show us every move we do. I highly recommend going signing up for a class!!

This establishment not only offers too of the line jiu jitsu but other mixed martial arts as well that can be beneficial to just about anyone. The gym may seem small when you first enter but the lessons that are taught each day are bigger than life. And is great for anyone of any skill or age as the money spent is we’ll invested, as each day there truly is something new to learn. With not only the great instructors and the friendly, great atmosphere they bring, but also jammed packed lessons in not only jiu jitsu but the values that it offers.

Have enjoyed every single minute spent at this location. Before I first walked in I initially had anxiety about signing up but was immediately greeted happily by everyone. Now a few months in I feel like a part of the family. Head professors here really care about you and your well being. They also are really passionate about what they teach every single day. This school is absolutely awesome! You can find a bjj school on almost every street corner nowadays, but it's hard to come by one as great as Gracie Humaita Brownsville. The experience and professional attributes they have are second to none. Dozens of schools closer to me but I make the hour plus drive to brownsville, because that's the kind of quality bjj they offer!
